Opening Credits?

You know, I find myself kind of hoping for what BABYLON 5 did for their theme songs... a different one for each season, but still have enough elements of the previous ones to be easily recognizable.

I always loved how they did that, partly because it is such a unique thing for a series.

I was a big fan of Discovery altering it's visuals in the second season credits, to make them suit the new season storyline. Nice touch.

That’s a good question. I wonder what they will be like. I hope it doesn’t have elevator music like Discovery.
Hell, I would be happy if they just use the TNG theme again.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I think the theme will the one we heard at the end of "Children of Mars". As I said there, I think it would probably be a good thematic fit.

Maybe they will and also redo the tng opening credits except instead of the enterprise hurtling by it will be Picard tumbling at ludicrous speed. He is technically the hero ship since the show is named after him.

If it's not some heavy metal track....

TNG theme may not be a good idea, this is a different series but how about somekind of edited version of TNG theme. It is Picard, TNG is where we know him. Something TNGish would be nice.

You know I should of thought of this earlier but what if you used the old shows love for classical music as a starting off point for a dark theme. Something like this from Mozart.

While I am a big fan of this piece it is part of a funeral requiem/mass.........might be a bad omen.

The theme I imagine will have at least a callback in some form or fashion to TNG, whether that’s the TMP theme or the Inner Light flute solo, I don’t know. But like with Disco recalling TOS’ theme, it will be brief.

I have no idea on visuals, just preferably not a starfield on its own.

I would absolutley love having the main motif from the Inner Light solo in it! Actually...I remember there was a TNG Sound Track CD that a had a special full on orchestral version called "Suite From The Inner Light" or something to that effect...they could just use that.

Even if they didn't use for opening credits I wonder if they might would score episodes with classical music. Maybe save the song for Picard's eventually death or funeral scene in season 2 or 5.

I like Discovery's theme as well. It doesn't really reflect what I think the show is going to be in season 3 though so they might need to change it.
