NFL 2019 Season

Oh man...now we're playing Green Bay AT Green Bay. Hawks haven't had much luck there the last few seasons...but it was usually the first or 2nd game of the season. So either way if we make it through next week...we're playing a team we've played and beaten before (Vikings) or a replay of the NFC West championship again (iffy..but we'd be on the road, which may help). Should be an interesting week again next week, especially after the upsets this week.
I honestly know pretty-much less than squat about football, so I'll take your word for it. But, even though I am currently living elsewhere, I grew up in the Seattle area. Guy's gotta root for the home team, you know.

As someone else who really doesn't know the in and outs of football like I do other sports, listening to Jim Nantz & Tony Romo had me more interested in the Titans/Patriots game than I usually would've been. Romo is what a colour guy should be, explain the game and why things are happening.

I’m rooting for the Vikings to go all the way. Kirk Cousins is finally with a club that he can do good things with and utilize his talent I always knew he had but couldn’t make it work over with the Skins. Even the greatest QB’s in history can fail if their o-line resembles a stretched out whiffle ball.
You like that?!

The throw to Dental Equipment was amazing, but he had several chances to put the game away and made some very questionable throws. As such, his stats for regulation leave a lot to be desired. He's going to have to play a lot better next week if they're going to have any kind of chance. Cook can't do it all himself.

Romo is light years better than Aikman. But in Aikman's defense, he is alongside Joe Buck, who is the most annoying announcer ever, or at least top 3.

I had similar thoughts this weekend. Joe Buck is the single worst announcer in sports today.
No emotion, no feeling, monotone throughout even the most exciting of moments.
Romo, on the other hand, is a pure joy. He is interesting, exciting, and just fun to listen to... and every time I watch one of his broadcasts, I learn something.
I would love to see him and AL Michaels pair up someday.

Buck doesn't bother me nearly as much as he bothers other people.

But yeah, Romo is really good.

I hate to say it, but "YMMV" ;)

I'm also quite annoyed by Thom Brenneman and Cris Collinsworth. But Buck and Brenneman only have jobs because of their daddys.

Romo is wonderful. If the national game is on CBS (Usually it's just the Broncos.) I'll watch no matter who's playing.

I'm split on Buck. On the one hand, you have "Diggs. Sideline. Touchdown! Unbelievable!" And on the other hand "That was a disgusting act by Randy Moss." Then, of course, there's "Mitchell," which I think demonstrates his biggest problem: He tries too hard to be hip and cool that he ultimately comes across as a total bore.

Add Kenny Albert to the nepotism list.

And I like Brenneman for baseball.

Oh. I can't stand Collinsworth.

See, I dislike Brennaman because of baseball. More specifically, because of his time as Cubs announcer. Steve Stone was only tolerable when he was with Harry, so Steve and Thom were a painful experience.

Yeah, Brennaman has the same issue as Chip Caray, in that he's pathologically incapable of shutting the fuck up.
