Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-men was the first mention of SWORD, I believe.

Ah, so that's why it's a Fox thing.

Marvel can avoid crapping on fans by simply getting the actors and using the very strong, adult storylines from those series. The MCU / Disney+ would reap immeasurable benefits from that.

To be fair, Feige was directly involved with the first season of Agent Carter, along with the Russo brothers and Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. That's why until it's officially deemed otherwise, I consider that season at least to be in continuity with the MCU (while the rest of the TV productions are pretty plainly not).

Eh, Punisher is no loss. And Daredevil struggled to be coherent after S1.

I don't blame him for wanting to clean house from Loeb's stench.

I don't think their is anything that contradicts the movies, at least in a major way. Granted never watched but a couple episodes of Inhumans but I think people wouldn't mind pretending that never happened.

I agree. And going by the six degrees of Edwin Jarvis, all of Marvel television can be brought into the fold. Jarvis brings Agent Carter into the mix. Peggy Carter appeared on Agents of SHIELD, along with Dum Dum Dugan, and Agents of SHIELD up also picked up the Isodyne plot thread from AC by stating Isodyne was bought by Roxxon. That thread is picked up by Cloak and Dagger when Roxxon tries to recreate the experiments from Agent Carter that creates Cloak and Dagger. Cloak and Dagger appeared on Runaways. Characters from the Netflix shows and Cloak and Dagger were referenced on each other shows. It's all connected. There are other smaller things that connect the shows and the movies, but that's the broad strokes.

As for Inhumans, they referenced the Terrigen infected fish oil from Agents of SHIELD, so can be brought in if one so desires, but I also have no problem just pretending it never happened.

The biggest issue would be season 6 and 7 of Agents of SHIELD given the references to Thanos in season 5 that were ignored by season 6. My solution is simply to treat the references to Thanos in S5 as being apocryphal, just like the reference of SHIELD being a new organization in the first Iron Man and the "eight years later" bit from the first Spider-Man movie. Season 6 ends just before the snap, and season 7 takes place entirely in the past.

Agreed about Punisher, but Daredevil needs to continue on in some form.

I like Punisher quite a great deal. In fact even though the quality was up and down with Jessica Jones and Luke Cage I think the main stars were always good so I wouldn't mind seeing the entire Netflix lineup be used again except the exception. We know who that is. I do not even need to say his name. It rhymes with Ziron Mist.

I've just never liked the Punisher as a lead character. I've always enjoyed him more when he was put into conflict with other, more heroic, characters as in Daredevil season 2.

And Iron Fist season 2 was a distinct and definite improvement over season 1. I would love to see Misty and Colleen be given a Daughters of the Dragon spin-off, which could be used to tie up Iron Fist's dangling plot threads.

For all the talk of the Netflix shows, I think that Runaways and Cloak and Dagger have more of a chance of continuing again in some form. Along with Agent Carter and AoS they have been more closely related to the events of the movies.

How have those two connected to the movies? I've only seen season 1 of Runaways and I don't remember anything related to the movies in it at all. Never seen any of Cloak and Dagger.

The connections have been minor. In season 2 of Runaways, Alex mentioned Wakanda. Also in season 2, it was inferred that Nico's Powers through The Staff of One were connected to the Dark Dimension, something that was confirmed in season 3 by Nico's mother Tina.

What's particularly interesting about that last bit is that there was a character in The Doctor Strange movie, one of the sorcerers who was gathered at the Hong Kong sanctum by Wong, who was named in the credits as being Tina Minoru, and she wielded what was very visibly identifiable as The Staff of One.

Now, this can just be written off as a coincidence, or it can be inferred that it was the same Tina played by a different actress. Either way, it's an intriguing coincidence.

As for Cloak and Dagger, there has been mention made of Tony Stark and Danny Rand. The experiments that turned them into Cloak and Dagger are part of a thread that ran through Agent Carter, Agents of SHIELD and finally Cloak and Dagger. Agent Carter, of course, is the only television show to have a direct connection to the movies by way of Edwin Jarvis.

I heard about the one from the picture above, but I wasn't sure what to make of it.

Both series also incorporate the Dark Dimension. The references are not major I will admit but the both shows have made more of an effort to incorporate MCU references than the Netflix series. They also fit more with the overall tone than the Netflix shows--and the way they are written any of the characters could easily appear in the movies.

I do love the Netflix shows and wish they were still around. I am just suggesting it is more likely we will see more of the "Hulu" shows.

Apparently they were supposed to get down to Puerto Rico tomorrow to film for 2 weeks. But with that cancelled, they're going to have to have to figure something else out, possibly even quickly, if some of the actors have pre-existing commitments to film other projects.

They were probably getting somewhat close to the end of filming for this, right?
