New Picard Clip

And I think they're were created from the S31 Drone model

I haven't seen red lines like that since... Akiraprise! Now, it's entirely possible that CGI models started from same template. Doesn't mean they are actually related in-universe ;)

it's no longer on Facebook, but I found it here:

The muzak is overly bombastic (par for the course for today's shows, but when the script and actors fail we know the music will make us flow like rivers on cue), 0:22 looks absolutely guffaw-inducing (it's a joke, right? There are numerous possible targets for that, chiefly those engaging in that :guffaw:), but a few individual frames DO look promising.

Why would Picard be looking for someone who has no one else to help them? That's like 80% of the galaxy. 99.9999999% if the big enemy in the room is the Borg. And who are the Borg the big social allegory for this time? It's not 1990 anymore...

Certainly not as bad as other reuses in Trek history, remember when thinly disguised Breen ships popped up in Voyager’s “Workforce”, or when a ship from Voyager appeared 200 years earlier as the Romulan drone ship on ENT.

It’s practically tradition, and of course it’s a money saving exercise. Though I’m sure that won’t stop the usual suspects on YT etc.

The worst reuse was the Yellowstone runabout leaving the Dyson sphere, which was supposed to be a regular spacedock XD
But wasn't the Romulan drone a new ship?

Ha, forgot about the Dyson door for Spacedock, though that was more literally reusing footage than reusing assets.

The drone previously appeared in everyone’s favourite episode, “The Fight”, plus in the background of another episode I think.

That explains it - I purged The Fight from my memory ;)
It was funny though that Romulan scout ships, Bajoran freighters, and the Qualor II Smuggler's ship reappeared in the delta quadrant XD

He has his own Manucho Grande now? I hope he doesn’t have a drinking problem from it.

I'm guessing Ten Forward is a completely new build? I know parts of the set survived long enough to be used in "These Are The Voyages" but I'd imagine they've long since been binned?

EDIT: Actually according to Memory Alpha, only the Observation Lounge in TATV used old set components, everything else was built from scratch apparently.
My guess is CG. For a dream sequence that will only last a few seconds, it seems the most practical.

Interesting. Those stealth-bomber looking ships didn’t seem to have a Starfleet delta on them in the previous clips. I wonder if that was added recently.
