Does that mean we'll get giant Klingon cruisers again?Hell if they have the Klingons invade the former Romulan territory, they could do a parallel with the events of 'All Good Things'.

Although everything we know so far implies they've retconned it back 2 years to 2385 for some reason. We explicitly know that the show will deal with the events of the 2009 movie, so this thread topic is kind of moot now.
We don’t know that for certain yetAlthough everything we know so far implies they've retconned it back 2 years to 2385 for some reason.

Also it wasn't even set in stone in the comic, it was an estimation. It could happen later or even earlier.Yeah, all we really know about set-in-stone dates is what the comic shows. And the comic can be contradicted by the actual show.
i'd say that they can't ignore it. Like others, I'd assume that some sort of implication from the destruction of Romulus is what necessitates Picard's return to the Federation. My guess is that the mysterious girl might be another Romulan clone of Picard, maybe enhanced with Borg tech which is why Seven of Nine is needed?
It's the time travel that happened after the supernova was stopped that led to an alternate timeline. The supernova took place in the prime/main/original one (at least as much the original one as anything in Trek is)They should ignore it because it took place in another timeline.

But most of all because it was stupid.
To be fair, I bought a ticket, but still thought the movie was stupid.![]()
You're referring to the filmmakers, of course...Well, I can’t help the mentally insane.![]()

No, it should not ignore the Kelvin timeline, and we shouldn't either. I don't love that universe, but it has happened and we need to move forward from there.

IMDB lists Jeri Ryan will only be in one episode of Picard. Also Jonathan Del Arco will only be in one episode of Picard.I'm curious how this will be addressed in th Picard series.

What @F. King Daniel said. The supernova occurred in the Prime timeline, where Nimoy Spock is from, and why he felt responsible. The supernova took place in the prime/main/original one (at least as much the original one as anything in Trek is)
