Woof, that one was ugly. Final score looked close, but it really wasn't. Don't know what the deal with the offense is, but it's just not working right now. Still 10-2 and whatnot, but not great. And with the Baltimore win, Pats are down to 2nd place, with the Bills right behind them at 9-3. Fortunately at least the Ravens and Bills have to play each other, so unless they work out a deal to get a tie, someone has to lose a game there.

Ravens/49ers game was a great matchup.
 
Who is going to get suckered into giving Nick Foles a ton of money next year?

Secondary coach Perry Fewell has been named interim head coach. Offensive coordinator Norv Turner will transition to special assistant to the head coach, and quarterbacks coach Scott Turner will serve as offensive coordinator.

The Texans are way to bipolar to say anything about their future. They're trending up, but that trend has a lot of up and down spikes to it. LOL
 
Well, that game should put people off of the idea that the refs are in the pocket of the Patriots. Woof. I mean, missing close calls is one thing, but this was repetitive, and took a minimum 2 TDs off the board. Tough to fight back from that

As you know, I hate the Patriots with my entire being, but yeah, you guys got jobbed yesterday.

It looked like Belichick was going to blow a gasket when the refs picked up a flag on the Chiefs. Like "We'd had an understanding, you're only supposed to pick up flags on my team!"
 
No, more frustration that it was obvious that this crew had NO IDEA what they were doing. Tons of flags (on both sides), even more that were tossed and picked up all night. A replay that clearly showed the crew spotting the ball wrong, Pats challenge it, and then even after it shows the ball at/around the 39, they don't change it and it stays at the 40 anyway? Which means a 'lost' challenge, so can't challenge every other cock-up that they effed up on later.

It was even things like the refs calling a penalty that comes with a 10 yard penalty, moving the team back 5 yards and then resuming play. Literally didn't know what the result of the penalties that they were calling, real or imagined.

Pats played like crap for a lot of the game, and you never want to be in a position where it's close enough for the refs to get involved anyway, but it's real hard when you start to put it together and the refs are having a game for the ages... :lol:
 
And that lost challenge cost the Pats on the non-TD when the refs said the receiver stepped out at the 3 when he clearly didn't.

Then the legit non-catch on the very next play. That would drive any head coach over the edge.

Ref and umps have clearly been getting worse at their jobs the last few years. Is it intentional? Do they feel the game should be about them? I mean, it's not just the Joe West's and Angel Hernandez's, it's up and down the whole lot.

I hate the Patriots with every fiber of my being and take extreme pleasure in their every loss.... but even I will acknowledge that poor officiating so clearly altered this game that it is impossible to know how it actually would have turned out. That being said, I am of the opinion that the Patriots would have won, possibly by two touchdowns, had the crew not been so completely and totally terrible at doing their job.
 
It really was impressively bad. Even if just the Harry TD was allowed, they’d have been in position for an easy FG to tie at the end vice having to go for a TD and failing. Gilmore May have scored on the fumble, maybe not, but definitely had a chance. Picking up a 1st down on the Dorsett mugging means a chance at a TD instead of having to settle for a FG.

again, Pats didn’t play well, but it should have been enough to win if the refs had seen a football game before...

They also gifted the Pats a TD by missing a false start. The NY booth gave a the Pats a bogus pass interference call.

At the heart of the issue was the sideline judges... who not only made some terrible spots, but also threw flags with abandon. Even the lead umpire at times seemed frustrated with their actions.
