I wish the Mothership would come back.

I mean, SVU is alright, but I'm getting just a bit tired of the constant character drama. I like L&O when it gets...clinical, detached, focusing ONLY on the case.

That's one of the things I liked about the original series - we knew almost nothing about the characters' personal lives. In fact I believe it was Dick Wolf himself who said that the original L&O was "actor-proof".

Exactly!

Tv: person gets beaten repeatedly and manages to fire off several rounds killing their assailant.

Me; lies on ground playing dead (if not already dead) and then somehow manages to shoot self in own foot. Bleeds out. Screen fades to black.

That reminds me: They should do a remake of Last Action Hero, with the "Jack Slater" character this time...Jack BAUER.

Who wouldn't want to grab a magic ticket and end up in the world of 24? Where you can drive all the way across Los Angeles in less than an hour?

doesn't matter anyway - the music was way better than any trek and charlotte kerr (general van dyke ) had the best voice ever in any science fiction - i'm sure friedrich dürrenmatt married her for that voice alone

You just jogged my memory, an under rated film imho for anyone who loves a time when movies were shown in an old-time theatre w/ an actual projectionist. And I luv the sarcasm from Ar-nold about süper-heroes.
