[nutshell]

One magic trick doesn't make a great jedi.

Kylo is too unstable and inconsistent and has weaknesses in his light sabre skills.

Even Finn nearly held his own for a few minutes in the force awakens and rey untrained nearly kicked his emo arse.

I didn’t say he was a great Jedi. I said he was strong in the force. As others have pointed out, he’s undisciplined and reckless. That doesn’t mean he isn’t strong.

As for Finn and Rey: (1) Kylo was severely injured at the time; and (2) the force had something to do with Rey’s victory, I suspect.

I know what Stockholm Syndrome is, can spell it too, it's just that clinical accuracy isn't generally required when making off hand jokes about sympathising with the bad guy.
