Joss Whedon had commented that he shot a scene for Age of Ultron to accommodate the presence of Carol Danvers at the end of the movie. Apparently, it was never going to happen because Kevin Feige wasn't fond of the idea of introducing her fully formed like that at the end of the movie. Here is a shot of the scene with Carol's stand in, to be replaced digitally once the character was cast.

I also remember Whedon stating that they shot an alternate ending with Quicksilver, just in case someone at the studio didn't like killing him off. I would like to see that shot as well.
Good call on Feige's part. That would've been a horrible way to introduce Carol. What we got was far superior.

I'm not surprised. His Hulk (and the entirety of that series) is quite different from the comics versions. The Smart Hulk that we saw in Engame comes from a version that didn't even exist until years after the series ended. I don't begrudge him for that opinion because of those differences. Besides, as a life-long fan of that series, there's plenty of room for different versions of Hulk and his Hulk will always have a special place in my heart.

You're not thinking fourth dimensionally!

I guess by the time we actually reach 2023 it will be the same as the timeline in Marvel. Very clever and trippy

Which could mean the characters could say it's been a month since the Endgame battle when in reality it will have been 4 years since the movie came out.

Hey, I remember when the release date for the Daredevil series was years away!

I've never really been one to just go see a movie because of who is in it. If I like an actor I might give their movie's trailer a look, or something like that, but just liking the actor has never really been enough by itself to get me to go see a movie.
It sometimes works for me - I don't usually see romcoms, but the combination of Emilia Clarke, Henry Golding, Emma Thompson, and Michelle Yeoh convinced me to see Last Christmas, but I'm not going to watch Terminator: Genisys or Nanny McPhee just because one of them is in it.

I do it a lot more often with TV shows. It's easier there because it's cheaper than a movie, and I can drop out if I don't like the first episode.

The entire article is built on a bs premise, imo. Movie Stars were dying out long before the mcu (and endless reboots) took over. I don't know exactly why people stopped caring about stars, but they did. The studios' reliance on ips is far more a reaction to that than a cause of it (because the one part of that premise that is true is that people can still be made to care about characters in the way they used to care about stars, so that's the last advantage the studios can muster).

Mark Ruffalo does not know yet if he will make an appearance in She Hulk for Disney plus, but he's open to the idea and soon will be having a meeting with Kevin Feige.

Where does the whole Tessa Thompson as She-Hulk idea come from? I can't really see them casting her in another role when she's still playing Valkyrie.
I've been hoping we might get at least one appearance from Mark Ruffalo as Hulk/Banner in She-Hulk. Those two characters are so connected, it would be a shame not to get at least one appearance from him.
Some interesting new information has come out of an interview with Sarah Finn, the main casting director for the MCU movie. Apparently quite a few of the actors first auditioned for roles other than the ones that they ended up getting.
Chris Pratt originally auditioned for Capt. America, Chadwick Boseman originally auditioned for Drax, and Lupita Nyong'o originally auditioned for Nebula.

So I wonder if that means no Iron Man at all, or if someone else will be playing him?

I really don't see that at all. I mean I've never been a big FF fan so it wouldn't bother me, but I don't see how Thing should ever be played by someone who doesn't have a deep or gravelly voice at all and also is most famous for his upbeat, quirky man-Child characters.

I don't think Michael Chiklis's voice is all that deep and gravelly -- it's in a pretty similar range to Jack Black's, IIRC.

And what an actor is most famous for is usually not a limit on what they're capable of.

I don't know, Black sounds a *lot* more high pitched to me than Chiklis, on average. And Chiklis is about the limit, imo.

Also it's not a limit on what he's capable of, but it is an indication. Especially since his career is pretty long at this point and still not very diversified.

They announced that Elizabeth Banks is doing a Universal Monsters Invisible Woman movie, and that got me thinking, she could be a great Sue Storm if they go for an older more experienced Fantastic Four.
