Spider-man books

Cool, this means I was finally able to get Everybody Wants to Rule the World, which I've been curious about for a while. I hope they put more of these on sale, I've been wanting to check out some of the other non-adaptations, especially the Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Rocket & Groot ones.

Hey again all,

As of 9/3/2019 on Amazon 5 or 7 Marvel prose novels ebook are still on sale for $1.99:

Deadpool: Paws (Marvel Novels Book 4)

Who is the Black Panther?: A Novel of the Marvel Universe (Marvel Novels Book 3)

Just a heads up for everyone!

Titan is re-releasing Diane Duane's 1990's Spider-Man trilogy the Venom Factor omnibus in Ebook in March 10, 2020 for $9.99.

https://www.amazon.com/Marvel-class...&sprefix=marvel+class,digital-text,438&sr=1-1

It includes 3 books: The Venom Factor, The Lizard Sanction, and the Octopus Agenda all in one book.

I'm really excited to read these books again. For starters, as a Trek fan Diane Duane's Spocks World is just terrific.

Way to go, Titan books, I want more old Marvel novels as ebooks!!!
Keep them coming. :)

Anyway, just FYI to everyone on the forums.

Cool, I didn't realize she wrote a Spider-Man trilogy. I hope if they are successful they eventually move forward to the Pocket Star Marvel books from the early 2000s. I got David Mack's Wolverine book and @Christopher's X-Men books, and I've been wanting to check out more of them, but the're out of print and not released as e-books, so the only place I've found them is third party sellers on Amazon and other online stores.

Yeah, I have those, as well as Duane's X-Men: Empire's End (where she wrote Professor Xavier with what was recognizably Patrick Stewart's/Picard's voice long before Stewart was actually cast in the role). The Spidey trilogy is pretty good, though unfortunately it's a product of the '90s and thus has Venom as a featured antihero in all three books.

My Spider-Man: Drowned in Thunder is available as a full-cast audiobook, which was just re-released by Dreamscape Media as part of their audiobook deal with Marvel, and which is also available for borrowing on the Hoopla electronic library service. Along with a lot of other audiobook versions of Marvel novels that you might not have. My Fantastic Four novel from that era, WAR ZONE, has also been reissued as an audiobook.

Just discovered that my old Iron Man novels: THE ARMOR TRAP and OPERATION: A.I.M. are being reissued as audiobooks early next year.

I wrote those books back in the nineties, long before Tony Stark became a movie star!

@Christopher and @Greg Cox I don't mean to be a pain. But I just wanted to ask both of you, is there any chance for ebooks of your works as well with the audiobooks?

How do you feel about Titan reissuing the Marvel books? Hopefully, its a great development? Right?

Thanks,
-Koric

I have no information on that. If the books are republished at some point, by Titan or whoever, they may choose to release them as ebooks, but that's not something I'd be consulted on or have any way to predict. Those books belong to Marvel and what happens to them is Marvel's decision, not mine.

Hey, cool! As a big fan of ol' Shellhead, I'll have to pick those up - I already have the dead tree editions...

On the subject of Marvel prose fiction, my former editor Marc Gascoigne and his team over at Aconyte have just announced they're launching a Marvel book line too: details.

Great news. But I wonder if this will have any ramifications for Titan’s Marvel line.

Cool. Any idea who they might be looking at for authors?

Odd that the only one of Diane Duane's Spider-Man trilogy they have is the third volume.
Yeah, I thought that was weird, too. Not fatal, as the three books were linked standalones rather than single three-part story.

And, of course, that novel's climax takes place at the World Trade Center. *sigh*

Still, there are some threads that are set up in the first two and resolve in the third, so some bits here and there might be a bit confusing. As I recall, it turned out that
Doc Ock had been, to coin a phrase, the master planner behind the events of the first two books.

Christopher: True.

*beats head against wall because someone felt the need to put in a spoiler tag for a book that came out in 1996*
