Why condemn? If she fired them she should be given a raise. They're really only good at adapting the work of others, on their own they aren't so hot.
Also this. Reading about the BTS chaos on GoT makes me think that SW is dodging a bullet right now.Why condemn? If she fired them she should be given a raise. They're really only good at adapting the work of others, on their own they aren't so hot.
you make it sound like adapting isn't it's own amazing art form and one worthy of its own award at the oscars.. that anyone who adaopts a pre-existing work will by default create a masterpiece. i don't even watch the show..but these guys adapting the books and thus created the biggest show in the history of televisionWhy condemn? Clearly didn't keep up on how it ended or how angry these two men made their own fan base.you make it sound like adapting isn't it's own amazing art form and one worthy of its own award at the oscars.. that anyone who adaopts a pre-existing work will by default create a masterpiece. i don't even watch the show..but these guys adapting the books and thus created the biggest show in the history of television
Complaining is all some people have. Doesn't matter that they sometimes contradict themselves, they just want to complain to complain. Also this. Reading about the BTS chaos on GoT makes me think that SW is dodging a bullet right now.
Funny to me how when the hiring was announced many SW fans were angry because of how disappointing GoT's ending was. But, now, apparently, their firing is the worst thing...![]()
Art is a bit strong for Game of Thrones. It's fantasy tropes but gritty and with sex scenes. It's good, but it isn't the greatest achievement in television history. People said the same about Lost and now it's largely forgotten. Judge it in 10 years.you make it sound like adapting isn't it's own amazing art form and one worthy of its own award at the oscars.. that anyone who adaopts a pre-existing work will by default create a masterpiece. i don't even watch the show..but these guys adapting the books and thus created the biggest show in the history of television
I'd rather ignore it. Got through one episode and it was just awful. Great television? Not likely.Art is a bit strong for Game of Thrones. It's fantasy tropes but gritty and with sex scenes. Then perhaps it is a good thing that these two are not going forward with SW. Because they have recently admitted they had no idea what they were doing when first starting out with GoT, and the last season left a very bad taste in their audience's mouth.I already said I don't watch the show. I also said the "art" was about adapting..
It's entertaining and there's at least one character who you can root for. For me, it's Sansa and she took a while to grow on me. It's like any other HBO show though.I'd rather ignore it. Got through one episode and it was just awful. Great television? Not likely.
Good Omens was art, Game of Thrones isn't. Plus how would you even know if you don't watch it? Art is subjective.I already said I don't watch the show. I also said the "art" was about adapting..
This is how Hollywood works, pretty much from the beginning.I'm not saying whether or not it was a good thing story-wise for SW that this happened.
What I am saying is that there was a breakdown in leadership, in contracts, in all the other matters behind the scenes that point to poor vetting. I mean Feige had only one major announcement eat him in the ass, and that was for edgar Wright and it only happened after a few years..
KK has had five departures or problems and as of now only 4 films have been released
We don't have enough information, but you do you. Still not sure what impact this has upon us as SW fans but ok...What I am saying is that there was a breakdown in leadership, in contracts, in all the other matters behind the scenes that point to poor vetting.
I think you're right. And, judging by the articles I've read, many SW fans also think so.I think we dodged a bullet.

I haven't seen Game of Thrones in awhile but how could one bad season mean they always sucked. Some shows just have bad endings. Jason
