If TLJ is the worst movie someone has seen then they have lived a blessed life. I've seen some real shit.

For example this.

And this is art compared to some movies I've seen. My goal is to be the first person to die from a bad movie.

Some people are just adorable when it comes to what they think is the worst.
I agree. They clearly never saw a Uwe Boll movie. Plus when I was younger I saw this movie were a teen boy shrinks like in Honey I Shrunk the Kids then gets trapped in the underwear of he girl he likes and can't get out. Not sure of the title. Jason

That sounds like something I'd LOVE as a 13 year old lol

Outside of Solo the movies are in an amazing place. For me it sucks that the books are pretty mediocre to bad and neither the books or the comics can tell stories that even slightly matter, and the old EU is still superior to the new canon in my opinion, but for the stuff Kennedy directly effects the most, the movies and (probably) the live action TV stuff coming up, she's generally hitting it out of the park.

I never thought we'd get not just good but great SW movies again, and (again, except for Solo) I've really enjoyed the new movies, and I'm really hyped for The Mandalorian and the obi Wan show. So, I'd say that Kathleen Kennedy is doing a great job.

The only person that ever really "ruined" Star Wars to any extent was George Lucas, and he's long gone.

Why'd you hate Solo?

Well, just anecdotally me and my gf are the only people i know that straight up liked tlj. Several people I know thought it was flawed but enjoyable, and the vast majority absolutely despise it. And a couple literally think it's the worst movie ever made.
Some people need to watch more movies. Worst ever made? Not by a long shot.

Except for helping out on TROS :D In some fashion.

As a fan of the old EU, a lot of it was just shit and there just isn't enough of the new EU yet. I've really enjoyed Heir of the Jedi, it's a great Luke focused story. The good EU stuff was great, but for every Thrawn trilogy there's also dozen Courtships of Princess Leia. I do wish I could have read that Sword of the Jedi series though.

Kathy Kennedy is neither the Devil incarnate nor is she the greatest thing ever to happen to Star Wars. The angry fanboys and incels think she's purposely sabotaging the vision of George Lucas with SJWs and Mary Sues but for every crappy story facet in TLJ she let make it to screen she's overseen Rogue One, Solo and what looks like a possible smash hit with classic fans in The Mandalorian.

She was George's natural heir apparent, not some empty suit hired by Disney to crank out intellectually-empty product just to please shareholders. She's made mistakes but the fans who insist she's sacrificing Star Wars over the volcano of the Vagicentric Agenda and pushing diversity down the throats of audiences are just sore incels and butthurt nerds who can't accept that a fictional galaxy far, far away can have heroes that aren't male or even white.

The Mandalorian is played by a Latino actor. Obi-Wan will be played, of course, by a white actor reprising his earlier role in the franchise, but beyond the upcoming Kenobi the sky's the limit for a lead actor of a different skin color.

If the Cassian Andor series is still in development then there's another Latino lead actor(Diego Luna) in a Star Wars series.

I didn't say lead. I said no white people...period.

The Original Trilogy is more of a group effort. The Prequels are pure untapped Lucas, comparable to THX 1138 but easier to follow. Gary Kurtz toned down a lot of Lucas' weirder ideas like Han being a giant amphibian and dating a multiple breasted female wookie. He left around ROTJ and that's when Lucas' came up with Ewoks and decided to cut his original story short by killing the Emperor. His original sequel trilogy idea was that the Emperor escapes to another galaxy and Luke goes to find him and find his sister who was sent to that galaxy to train in secret. They'd meet and she'd be just as powerful as him, they'd then kill the Emperor. Also Obi-Wan would come back from the dead and be even more powerful. I almost wish I could see this, it would probably also get weird as shit given where Lucas goes when no one tells him to tone it down.

Actually if you removed all elements of Star Wars from the prequels, it could be interesting. An ancient democracy becoming fascist due to the influence of an evil wizard who slowly gains political power and engineers multiple wars and events to benefit himself. It just have a bunch of overly choreographed fight scenes, weird attempts at humor, and a very bad attempt at a tragic romance. If it were some scifi novel, it would be fine.
