I have gone back and watched it several times and freeze framing it, and I'm 98% sure it's Hugh

Would be a fitting fate since Beltran always hated Voyager and anything Star Trek related. Killing his character in a random freak accident would level out the Trek universe and avenge the death of Tasha Yar.

As I said elsewhere, Hugh does look weirdly like a younger Chakotay (well, younger than Beltran is now) in the couple shots we see in this trailer, so I could see the confusion.

He's had nothing good to say about the experience, but given he agreed to appear in Renegades: Requiem, I'm pretty sure he'd reprise his character for some cold hard cash.

I mentioned it in the other thread, but I personally don't think so. The (assumed) deceased is wearing red, and both the Romulan prisoners and Androids are wearing red jumpsuits. Meanwhile, when Hugh is seen in the trailer, he's wearing what appears to be the guard uniform.

We don't even know if that character is really dead in the scene, or if those are tears of sorrow or joy from Seven. It's a very short clip.
