New Picard Trailer

Makes you wonder who does the cooking. We saw Riker cook for the crew once and everbody hated it except Worf who is the Mikey of Trek. He will eat anything put in front of him. Guess it's chocolate ever night at super. Unless Riker has gone back to pretending to be chief on the NX-01 to practice. Jason

Riker cooking was going to be one of his hobbies, as we saw him do it once or twice in the early seasons, but it was dropped after that.

However, in the scene you reference, Riker was using a kind of weird alien egg, so we can't entirely blame him if the results were less than what everyone was hoping for.

But at least Riker finally learned the proper way to eat gagh.

So what’s with Rikers primitive looking house. I’ve seen more advanced looking home interior and exteriors in the mid 20th century homes. It reminds me of Kirks cabin interior. To go from the advanced enterprise to a crappy looking house is terrible.

Nonsense. After spending decades of your life in the sterile, antiseptic and impersonal environment of a starship, who wouldn't want to retire to a cozy mountain cabin and get back to nature?

Seeing more scenes of data makes me think they really overdid it.

I prefer the basic face makeup and not so yellow contacts.

Also what’s up with seven of nine going Rambo?

Seven- meet icheb and naomi

*shoots the place up*

Also lol at Riker and the pitfalls of family

“What?!”
“Stop yelling!”

Probably thinking

“Kids don’t listens to me and the wife can hear my thoughts. What I wouldn’t give to be on a Klingon ship”

Here's hoping not every single TNG character is retired or dead.

It seems Starfleet is trying to create that slave race Picard predicted in "Measure of a Man" after all. And with Romulan/Borg assistance no less.

I wonder if this Dahj character isn't an improved android akin to Data's mom, which would explain why Picard wants to help her.

All the grumbling about the Bird of prey is kind of surprising. It’s a space craft, if the design worked previously, other than modernizing the guts of it, what’s wrong with re-issuing a old design? We’re getting ready to go back to the moon with a updated design of the old Apollo capsules, why can’t they do the same thing?
Trek fans: How dare you change the old designs for Discovery!

Also Trek fans: How dare you use the old designs on Picard!

Presumably the starships are not just built in certain shape on a whim. Different technology necessitates a different looking hull. And I am certain it is meant to be an old ship, they would have chosen different look otherwise.
Yeah, the Romulan Empire is kaput. Probably most of their fleet was annihilated in 2387 along with their homeworld. Romulans are probably flying whatever they have left, reconditioned old junks salvaged from the far corners of the former Empire.

Was I wrong to have enjoyed the Seven reveal in the previous trailer more than the Riker/Troi appearance?
Also Riker and Troi wear clothes when retired? I don't think, a Betazoid and Riker would totally be nudists.

Betazoids aren't nudist. Just on wedding days. Jason

We already knew Riker and Troi were coming back. Seven was a massive surprise.
The fact that we know Seven but never actually seen her with any of the other familiar characters makes it all the more interesting , but it makes sense given the storyline involving ex-Borg.

And it’s good they opened up to a Voyager character rather than just keep it TNG. hoping for a Niner to complete the set.
