New Picard Trailer

Almost certainly. Also “Children of Mars” in mythology would be Romulus and Remus.
Enemy ships appeared to approach Mars in the previous trailer.
In fairness, how much do shuttles have to change over time though. Once you get a design right, there isn't much to change. Apart from different brakes and gearing mechanisms, bicycles haven't changed much since the 1880's. Rockets are still long thin things with a pointy bit on one end and a nozzle or nozzles on the other end. I could see shuttles not changing much.
The problem is that we're supposed to believe that the design went from ent to dis to tos, tff, tng, ds9, voy, ins, and back to dis. Like the bat'leth that's supposed to evolve from ent to dis and back to ent.

Yeah the uniform on Data looks really bad. Can’t they afford to get him a fitted one? Im a bit confused why they're fighting 23rd century Romulan ships, unless that’s what they’re going for them in this which would be hilarious since that would be better fitted for Discovery than here.
You do remember by the time of this show, the Romulus Home Worlds are destroyed, right?
Which means that the survivors are most likely using whatever starships are still around, whether they be very old or not.

You mean like how the VW Bug and FORD Mustang are still a thing after 40 or 50 years.
Or how some folks are still using vehicles that are 70 or 80 years old.
(or building replicas)
One would think that shuttlecraft created a couple hundred years from now would be a lot more sturdy and last for a far longer period of time.

I just wonder where they've been keeping them all this time. Like, is there a storage depot filled with old Romulan ships? Granted, we only see one, but still. :D

Everything we've ever seen dealing with the Romulans has either been in Federation space, the Neutral Zone or at the Romulan Home World and has apparently been considered extremely important enough to the Romulan Senate and/or the Tal Shiar to always send their best starships.

We have no clue as to how many Romulan Colony worlds there are, but we can probably deduce that they most likely don't get the top-of-the-line starships for everyday use.
So to me, it makes sense that at this point, we'd start seeing older ships being used in place of the ones lost during the 'incident'.

And yet the Oberth, Excelsior, and Miranda class starships were used well into the 24th century with the latter even being used to fend off the Dominion.

Additionally, Klingon vessels -- especially battlecruisers changed very little over the course of a century.

Actually, you are quite correct! When I think about it, how much do we really know about the Romulans and their space? Not really a whole lot.

It'll be interesting to see that given the loss of Romulus and Remus, I imagine there's some sort of power struggle within the empire and its remaining planets in a fight for dominance.

I'm still trying to figure out how anyone can consider a very stylized weapon like a Bat'leth to have to look exactly the same over several centuries throughout the Klingon Empire.

Especially since it's considered to be a very personalized form of weaponry and is probably handed down from father to son every generation with each family having their own version.

San Francisco DIS/TOS era vs. PIC era.

Has anyone noticed that the late 24th century tech has finally caught up and even surpassed discovery tech. They even have all holographic levers and buttons. It only took them 20 years from Nemesis to get here.

Well, you know, when production budgets increase, so do Starfleet's technological leaps, no matter which era! :p

The only thing I’m ever so slightly disappointed by is the ill-fit of the uniforms in the dream sequence. The way the collar bunches up at the back of Spiner’s neck feels...lazy. I’m really surprised they let that slip thought.

What's even worse is Data's hairline. It's totally wrong. They couldn't find a better hairpiece?

Insane how in the Picard era, a mountain suddenly appeared.
There may have been “the big one”, tectonically, in those hundred fifty years, that pushed up a distant mountain range. It may have also destroyed a number of the taller buildings in the Bay Area, which would explain the drastic skyline difference as well.

We"ve seen to smash cuts of various ships over a red planet. In the second one they mystery ships appears to be destroying what looks like a Federation space station, the aesthetics are vaguely that of Earth space dock
Well in the previous trailer, there was a red planet with geographical features from Mars

It's a 'Dream Sequence'.
It almost appears like They did it on purpose, you know, like how most dreams aren't really comparable to real life.
;)
