I really like the fact, that the producers actually kept it mind that Picard is set almost 150 years after Disco and changed things accordingly instead of keeping things the same, like it was done with Romulus in ENT.San Francisco DIS/TOS era vs. PIC era.

It's his granddaughter, Wesley's kid.I really hope it is nothing as cliché as Picard's lost daughter.
These new showrunners seem obsessed with holographic things.Has anyone noticed that the late 24th century tech has finally caught up and even surpassed discovery tech. They even have all holographic levers and buttons. It only took them 20 years from Nemesis to get here.![]()
Genuinely thought they just reused the same shot. Kinda hoping it's a work in progress and they aren't using Discovery shuttles in the Picard-era.San Francisco DIS/TOS era vs. PIC era.

My first theory was that was Picard and Anij's daughter, but as I've learned more I'm thinking that she's not that directly linked to Picard.Lost daughter of Beverly & Jean-Luc that was grown in a test tube somewhere?
Yeah a little too much. I can't believe nothing has survived since the TNG era such as regular touch panels. Going all holographic seems unrealistic as well as difficult to use. Also no more LCARs from the looks of itThese new showrunners seem obsessed with holographic things.
Good. I prefer the holograms. These new showrunners seem obsessed with holographic things.
I kind of had an idea for a while now that holographic controls were probably around during Zefram Cochrane's time, but touch panel controls were just preferred aboard starships as tjhey could be simpler to service and were less delicate. That might have changed in the years since Nemesis.Yeah a little too much. I can't believe nothing has survived since the TNG era such as regular touch panels. The LCARS typeface and Okudagrams definitely helped establish a certain look for the 24th-Century and visually unified TNG, DS9, & VOY--but after a few decades and likely improvements, it's understandable if LCARS has gone the way of Windows XP by now, IMO...Also no more LCARs from the looks of it

Maybe both touch panels and holograms are available and it's up to the person building the ship to pick. La Sirena is a civilian ship, so maybe Capt. Rios choose to go holographic, while Starfleet wants all of their ships to have touch panels.I kind of had an idea for a while now that holographic controls were probably around during Zefram Cochrane's time, but touch panel controls were just preferred aboard starships as tjhey could be simpler to service and were less delicate. Anybody heard any rumors or anything about who's playing Will and Deanna's daughter?
I just hope she's not a reincarnation of the Borg Queen. My first theory was that was Picard and Anij's daughter, but as I've learned more I'm thinking that she's not that directly linked to Picard.
