Agreed. I largely loved Disenchantment despite the slow start and mixed-bag humor, but the lovesick Elfo was the one thing I didn't like at all. It simply didn't work for the character or the story at large.

When Lucy is rewinding the crystal ball for the King, for a couple seconds the 'Fowards Time Machine' from Season 6 shows up on the recording

Ah, I missed that one, but I did notice Fry's hair in the second episode.
Oh, wow. Definitely missed that. Very much a blink and miss it moment. I'll have to go back and watch that scene again.
I found the first few episodes of D to be rather unfunny. I agree it picked up more with the story arc.
A couple random things I liked:
Traditional Irish music in the pub, nice touch.
The "Goldfinger" reference which I wasn't expecting at all (I forget which episode). I LOL'ed, a rare occurrence when watching TV.

I can understand that feeling, but as I noted in my review, there are still a fair number of mysteries unresolved that could be akin to the Nibblonians. Or something else we don't expect. I knew something was fishy when Bean visited the crypt early on in the season and I greatly appreciated that attention to detail. I'm sure that won't be the last time something like that happens.
For some reason, I have a hard time remembering the title of this show. While watching it, I kept thinking it was called Dreamland, and then once I sorted that out, I saw the title of this thread one day and thought, "Wait, shouldn't it be Disenchanted?" I think I've finally got it sorted out now, though.
It's not just you, I told someone the other day about it and totally gave them the wrong name...
I thought the title was a double entendre, one being the princess 's obvious lack of enchantment or happiness with her station in life and the other saying "this enchantment" as said by someone who's accent makes the word this sound like "dis".
I really liked it, I watched it over the weekend. Elfo did look a lot like Bart, except for stealing Ralph's nose, and his girlfriend reminded me of Leela, not to mention King Bender. I'm looking forward to more.

I rewatched the last two episodes of last season as a refresher for tomorrow's release of season 2. I'm sure glad I did because I forgot about most of the hanging mysteries of last season:
Who is Elfo's mother?
Who recovered his body on the beach?
Who kidnapped Luci?
What is the nature of the prophecy and how does it relate to Bean?
What are Dagmar's true motivations?
What were Oona and Odval plotting before Dagmar turned everyone into stone?
And most important of all, will Zøg be able to recover his lost crown, which he accidentally dropped into the moat?
