Can anyone who has the XL Excelsior provide some scans or photos of the new concept art in it? There's a few new angles of a design I built a CG model of years back, and that I'd never seen before. Thanks!
I don't believe the Elkins was on screen. Believe me, I've looked for it. The one ship I thought it was (in the far background at the beginning of "A Time to Stand" seems to just be another shot of the Curry.
scimitar arrived in two pieces today, luckily she glued back together pretty easy. she's a predator you know./QUOTE]
Where was the break?
not really to scale, but close:How does that compare in size to the EM Enterprise-E?
Yes, I think so!Wasn't the DST model of the Enterprise-E derived from the original Nemesis CGI model? That was going back a bit, must have been 2006 ish?
just going off looks, the eaglemoss version is the DS9/voyager generic galaxy-class/USS challenger model, based on that wonky deflector dish. but that’s just my guess.Does anyone know which version was used for the Eaglemoss model and renders? Or did they use an unofficial / non screen-used build? A few pages back pst called the sculpt incredibly flawed.
yeah that one was also a mash up of the 4 foot and 6 foot models, but it was almost exclusively used to replace missing shots of the 4 footer, so i'd say it's closer to that model. it's got the kind of squatter shape and heavier hull panels. And there's also Tobias Richter's CG model that was used for TNG-R shots where the original footage had been lost. That's probably the closest CG match to the six-footer, since it would've been designed to be indistinguishable on-screen, with no touch-ups, tweaks, or improvements.
Is it perhaps the ship that appears in the background when the Enterprise docks, then blips past imperceptibly fast during the construction montage at the end of Star Trek Beyond (before the Salcombe shows up)? They've both got Reliant-ish rollbars. I assumed it was meant to be the Kelvin version of the Stargazer since it was namedropped over the tannoy when they cut inside. My first thought is that that's supposed to be the Romulan text in the symbol, but the printer didn't have the Romulan font so it came out as english letters. The only issue with that theory is that, in every version I can find, there are more than seven characters of text (though it's not always the same).

Since I'm the most recent post, I just wanted to ask if anyone knows what the deal is with this bad boy.

It just popped up in a Starship Collection ad on Facebook with no information beyond, you know, some text saying I should subscribe to the Starship Collection and a short looping animation of it rotating back and forth between the front-left and front-right. It looks like a KT-ish design from the nacells, but I've done a quick, cursory Google and found nothing about a U.S.S. Saratoga, NX-2501. The model is so low-detail, the only thing I can think of it being from is the Fleet Command mobile game, but I can't see looking like it on that game's wiki (I deleted the game itself because it was full of assholes, was an insanely-long clock-watching game, and it was uncomfortably forward about wanting all of my money in as large chunks as possible).
