Star Wars Books Thread

Does it originally air on the regular Disney Channel or Disney XD? I only get the regular one, so I've been watching it on the Disney Now website.
Have we gotten any Resistance books or comics yet? I haven't noticed any, but that doesn't mean I didn't miss them.

You can also buy episodes or the season on Amazon. They offered the first season for $3 last fall. I’m not sure what the second season will go for.

I just put myself on the wait list for Black Spire on my local library's Overdrive program, and it's going to be 6 months before I can get it, with 22 people ahead of me. Luckily I've got plenty of other stuff I want to read.

The Phoenix system has eight copies on order (physical books), and only two holds have been placed, so you could be in the first group to receive them if you can make it out to one of the branches.

Eh, you're assuming that Filoni will want to do stuff with the character forever. We'll probably never see a cartoon use him or Ezra again, especially with Filoni not even working on cartoons much right now (he's doing the Mandalorian from what I remember, and maybe working on the new Clone Wars stuff, but I'm 99% she that he's completely uninvolved with the little kid cartoon).

We don't know anything for sure beyond the fact that Timothy Zahn has said that Filoni has the first option when it comes to what happens to Thrawn next. Whether Filoni chooses to exercise that right remains to be seen.

I'm pretty sure Thrawn will get to be a book character eventually, because Filoni only ever used him as the d-grade side villain anyway, his attention is barely on cartoons in general, and Thrawn is too popular to just leave in limbo for the probably decade or more before we even have the potential of Filoni resolving anything from Rebels (if he ever bothers/is allowed to). I may think Filoni is a mediocre creator at best, but I doubt he'd be petty enough to just never allow Thrawn stories set after Rebels until some nebulous point where he finally resolves Rebels, and even if he does he could easily move on to a cartoon/show that just couldn't use Thrawn, leaving the character open anyway.

See above in regards to the fact that we don't know anything beyond the order of use for the Thrawn character should further stories be made.

Yeah! Got my copy of Black Spire from Amazon today.

Started it, need to finish it. Wish Dawson had explained what happened to Syen.

I was reading through the description of the final collection of Marvel's first Darth Vader series and it brought up something that I have been unclear on for a while now. How do you pronounce Executor? Is it exe-cutor, like someone who executes people or exec-utor like someone who is in charge of a will?

The official site's Q&A had it as ex-E-cu-tor, like the person who is in charge of wills and estates. The only time it was any different was in one of the early Marvel comics or newspaper strips, and I would not place much weight on them currently.

Just got back from FanX 2019 (Salt Lake City's Comic Con).
Had a great panel with Timothy Zahn, Kevin J. Anderson and John Jackson Miller.

So we went through the Triple Force Friday reveals, and they revealed a whole bunch of toys for The Mandalorian, but still no word on books or comics. I was expecting to get at least one or two before the show started, but now I'm thinking if we do get some, we'll get them after it's premiered.

The fall schedule for novels and comics is pretty much packed solid for tie-ins with Galaxy's Edge and TROS. I'm sure we'll get tie-ins for The Mandalorian at some point next year.
