Spidey OUT of MCU

Does Sony have the rights to that character? He was never mentioned or alluded to in any previous Sony movie. He was part of the Daredevil rights that went to Fox and he came back to Marvel when Fox let those rights lapse.
Dunno. It's probably complicated. More so as of last week.

I've said this already, but I believe that Kingpin is a character whose rights are shared by both Sony and Marvel Studios/Disney.

Sony used him in their recent animated movie, Spider-verse. (With a *really* weird voice for the massive brick wall of a body they drew.)

So... will the next Spider-Man movie be a clean slate, soft-reboot type thing ignoring all that happened in the MCU, or will they pick up from the end of Far From Home and try to explain away/undo Spidey being exposed in a way that doesn't include the MCU-owned Skrulls (as Far From Home telegraphed)?

I love it when real life writes the plot. It's how they're gonna work around it in-universe that fascinates me.

Apparently they intend to pick up the story right where it left off. I have read more articles than I can count about this subject, so I'm not going to try and track down the specific articles that I read, but it seems the writers of the last two movies are on board but they haven't signed on director John Watts yet. He is apparently being actively pursued by other studios, including Marvel, so Sony will have to offer him sweet deal.

Is Ned a comic character or one made for the movies? Also they can do Mary Jane but not Michelle. Jason

A little from column A and a little from column B. Ned Leeds was a Spider-Man supporting character of long-standing for many years as one of the star reporters in the Daily Bugle pressroom. Ned in the movies, however, is that character in name only. The character in the MCU resembles the Miles Morales supporting character Ganke more than Ned Leeds from the comics. However, one nod and wink towards the comics version did occur in Far From Home as Ned had a relationship with Betty Brant in the comics.
