Name That STAR TREK Episode...

Yes, you got it in one. In All Our Yesterdays, Kirk is imprisoned again in the same cell he was imprisoned in Bread and Circuses.

Wow, that was a stab in the dark. I figured if the word "again" is there it should be a later episode. So, I went for the last episode where he was in a jail. But, then I worried that being "imprisoned" in Janet Lester's body would be the trick answer.

OK, I'll post a clue in the next few hours.

The Empath?
1. Experiments on two crew and now they turn their attentions to Kirk, McCoy and Spock.
2. Torture (for them) and boredom (for me).
3. Force Fields that feed off strong movements. Be calm, get free.

I think it has to be "The Cloud Minders"

First of all, Droxine describes the society there as follows.
DROXINE: The complete separation of toil and leisure has given Ardana this perfectly balanced social system, Captain. Why should we change it?

Droxine later decides to go to the dirt and grime of the mines, which could be called muck.

Add to that the fact that Stratos is literally balanced in the sky.

No Mercy; it was beyond Kirk or anyone else to muck anything up on Organia.
Not in the Cloud; I don't think the social system was that affected by Kirk after the fact.

2nd Clue: Social change via phaser always works.

How about "A Taste of Armageddon"?

1. They were a balance society and he did make a change there.
2. Phasers were the final tool
