If you could make a wish as to new books.....

How about novelisations of unmade screenplays?

Planet of the Titans, The God Thing, the First Adventure, Hurley's TNG, Orci's Beyond etc

Pocket tried in the early 90s to publish a novelization of The God-Thing. Michael Jan Friedman was attached at one point, and dust jackets for the hardcover were actually printed. (I've seen one. I know who owns it.) Roddenberry's official biographer David Alexander took a crack at it, and I believe Walter Koenig might have as well. But it never came to be, and maybe that's for the best.

Having been rereading AC Crispin's Sarek lately, it makes me want to see a take on the history of Sarek and Amanda on Vulcan with the update of Michael's involvement and the logic extremists, especially considering this seems like a faction who we won't be seeing much of the history of with Discovery's great leap forward. Even if they appear in flashbacks, understanding more of their motivations, and giving Amanda Greyson a starring role, can't possibly be considered bad things, right?
