It would be nice to see that level of organization, but it's easy to see why things will remain the same. The franchise itself is now so large and complex, topped with alternate timelines and it was at that point where it becomes inevitable and not incorrect to fathom. But it's been said "Picard" takes place in the same universe TNG had. But the same claim was made for DSC involving 60s Trek (yet clearly cannot be per a million article posts in that forum and all the reasons therein.) And after a while sifting though so many categories becomes so pedantic... there is something to be said about the current balance in layout. Time will tell.
