I read an interesting short interview on Cnn with Levar Burton saying something about or hinting some of the TNG cast maybe in the Picard series. Ketwolski on Youtube posted the link and I hope we get some news they'll be in the series during San Diego Comicon Picard tv series Panel on Saturday.

Yup. And his XO is Commander Miral Paris and Chief Engineer Lt Commander Icheb.
Would be nice if the show-runners are able to get her. Unfortunately Michelle has turned down offers to reprise her character for DS9 series because she wanted a bigger role outside of Trek (which she sort of get it w/her portrayal of Admiral Helena Cain in BSG).
I doubt she would've changed her mind and agreed to play Ro now. But hey, never say never....
They offered her starring role not only on DS9 (as the "Kira" character) but on Voyager (as "Torres"). Indeed, the whole setup of Ro joining the Maquis was arguably to set up for her to be with Chakotay's group in Caretaker.
She turned down both roles because she really wanted to break into film, and was worried that a full-time TV role would hinder that. Although she's continued to work in movies, she never really "broke through" and started taking more regular roles in the later 1990s and early 2000s, suggesting she's long since given up on the aspirations of landing a big movie role.

I thought her apprehension about playing Ro in DS9 was that she didn't want to commit herself long-term as a series regular -- i.e., the plan was to have Ro Laren instead of Kira Nerys.
I'm not talking about Forbes/Ro being a regular on PIC, but as a guest star. Even if it's guesting for most or all of the 10 episodes (or whatever PIC season 1 will be), that is far less of a commitment than doing 26 DS9 episodes per year for potentially 5 to 7 years.

At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if there's a scene in PIC where Picard swings by "Mott's Barbershop" for a shave and some gossip.

I'd like to see them drop by DS9 on their first trip away from Earth, during the first or second episode. It would be a good excuse to provide an update on where all those characters are now, without bringing them in as a regular.
Of course, the one regular I'd really, really, really hope is on the show is John De Lancie. It really wouldn't be a series about the Borg without Q playing a bit of havoc with Jean Luc
