Also featuring the Borg. It looks like a "Picard puts together a motley crew" kind of story. And the other main character is a mystery girl with unknown powers/"is the key to it all" kind of thing. I'm feeling excited all of the sudden. What do you think?
I had a feeling this would be the case, and the trailer confirmed it. This show as well as Lower Decks, isn't for me. I'll just stick to Discovery for now.
Holy crap! This show looks like it will pick up on a LOT more leftover 24th century Trek threads than I thought. Seems like it will be a much tighter TNG sequel than I was originally anticipating.
Fuck yeah, this looks awesome and I'm so happy Troi is returning, she's such an underappreciated character.
Oh my word! I did not expect a 7 of 9 cameo!!! Is that a Borg cube under construction? Looks like it! So much to digest in this trailer! Looks pretty fantastic!
She might be some type of new borg. I hope it's not a terminator type situation with borg human hybrid. And Seven of Nine has really become near human
She wasn't in the trailer but Marina Sirtis showed up at the Comic-Con panel confirming her involvement.
What jumps out for me is, how Brent Spiner managed to nail his character of Data down in just a couple of seconds of footage (minus the CGI de-aging, which isnt at 100%). Many actors have the problem to "reconnect" with a character they played decades ago, but Spiner pretty much was pitch perfect here, in every nuance, like he never had a break of 17 years (!) playing him.
