Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths to be 5-Part Crossover

That Tyler Hoechlin was returning as Superman for COIE is not a surprise (I wonder if Lois Lane is in it), especially as it looks like Lex Luthor is in it, but Brandon Routh returning as Superman as well

Do you think they'll use, the music with's Routh's Superman?

Wow, I did not expect to see Routh as Superman again. I'm very curious how they are going to address him looking just like Ray, I can't see them not doing something with it.

Jesus, this is awesome news. Routh was great in the underappreciated and unjustly maligned Superman Returns. It will be fantastic to see him back in the role.

And Hoechlin's version will appear as well? It's an embarrassment of Super-riches.

I thought I was the only one who liked Superman Returns. I really liked that it was a Superman movie where Superman never actually resorted to physical combat. And I thought that Routh did a great Christopher Reeve version of Superman. Once I accepted that was what Singer was going for, I sat back and thoroughly enjoyed the ride.

I wish I could be excited. But I'm guessing given the way they treated Superman so far, they are only going to kill one or find some other way to butcher the character.

I was actually kind of hoping they would let Superman sit this one out. I just don't trust the writers. I guess we will see.

They should try to make a single-day theatrical event happen. I'd totally go see this on the big screen for five hours.

More like three and a half hours, really, given how much of an "hourlong" show these days is commercials. The whole thing would barely be longer than Avengers: Endgame.

They've given us the only good version of Superman since ... the last time Routh played him. Your problems with how they've "treated" him are, thankfully, yours alone.

Weird, I haven't seen any butchering.

That's neat, but I kinda wish they kept that as a surprise.

Judging from last year's crossover, I'll conjecture that Routh's return as Superman is going be shot at least partly on location, so there will be passersby with camera phones and the producers know it'd be impossible to keep it secret, so they're making the announcement now to get ahead of the publicity. In Elseworlds, the stuff that happened out on the streets of Vancouver got spoiled in advance (like the return of the 1990 Flash), while other things that happened strictly in the studio were not.

I also really enjoyed the movie and Routh as Superman.
Now I only want Rosenbaum back as Lex and Welling as another Superman :)

If they could get Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor as a cameo or even just a voice-over message sent to his past or alternate self...

So Routh's costume:
1) Repurposed Hoechlin's
2) New costume
3) The SR costume with the tiny \S/ and collar?

I'd prefer 3, inasmuch as I would love him to be explicitly playing the Superman from Returns (which, in a sense, would also be a further continuation of Christopher Reeve's Superman from his first two films).

Yeah, the SR suit, with some tweaks as in brighten the colors, lower the collar, flatten and enlarge the \S/, raise the beltline... you know, just make it the Chris Reeve suit with more modern materials.
