That's actually a good point. It's rather humanist of us to assume she would only give one to Fury.

And given that Carol, Talos and Soren left for "new Skrullos"(?) together at the end of her first movie, I expect they worked out some sort of comms protocols.

I wonder if Fury's "vacation" on the Skrull ship is more of a retreat to catch up on 5 years worth of intelligence briefs and to get caught up in what he missed.

That's kind of how I took it. I'm curious to see if and how they follow up on that moment. I don't see any particular upcoming film would be a natural fit for him except the next Spider-Man film. Unless he and the Skrulls have some kind of tie-in with the Eternals (I just mean for the purposes of the film, not any kind of comic history).

I could see Fury having a part in the Black Widow movie.

Doesn't Talos report back to Fury that he gave Tony's glasses to Peter like he asked? That would imply that Talos has only been Fury since after Endgame.

Of course, that doesn't mean he hasn't filled in for him before from time to time. ;)

Yeah, but that'll be set before Endgame.

Yup, he did say that, which is part of why I get the sense he's only been filling in since Endgame.

Now I want to see the One-Shot where we discover at various small points through history (and particular points in the films) Fury was actually Talos.

Tom Holland says he signed for 6 movies. Three team up movies for Marvel Studios and three solo movies for Sony.

Happy to be corrected. I'll stop worrying until after the next movie comes out. :)

^ And, as I noted, Sony contracted with Feige to produce a solo Spidey trilogy, so not only does Holland have another film he's contracted for, Feige owes Sony a "Spider-Man 3" .

After that, we'll see what happens, but I think that the chances are good that the license deal not only stays in place, but gets expanded upon in order to let Sony's "Marvel Universe" films exist alongside of and at the fringes of the MCU, which would free Sony up to more directly contract with Tom Holland and/or other actors in order to get them involved in said films in some fashion.

I'm pretty sure any attempt to figure our if any previous appearance of Fury (or indeed anyone else) was in fact Talos or another Skrull is going to be an exercise in futility since we'd only know for sure if we saw them die. Personally, given how quickly Talos got in over his head I suspect it's a fairly recent and very temporary arrangement. Kind of like house sitting for a friend while they're on vacation...only it's a whole planet, not a house.

As to what Fury was up to, I think S.W.O.R.D. and/or Alpha Flight would be a fairly safe guess.

I have a question that the movie didn't answer regarding a certain Avenger: I'll use spoiler coding, just to be safe:
    Steve Rogers
He appeared in the memoriam sequence. Does the world know what he did,
taking the Infinity Stones back and/or living his life with Peggy?
Does the world think he's dead? Did he pass away in the eight months since the end of Endgame?

My assumption was that everyone assumed he’d died either in the battle with Thanos or travelling back in time with the stones. I don’t think they know the truth.

So how can Peter still only be 16 in this movie? Even ignoring the 5 years he was gone that would mean he was only 13 in Civil War...

I wouldn't try to take the specifics of the MCU timeline too seriously. It's far more cohesive than the FoX-Men timeline to be sure, but it still doesn't hold up to close inspection in more ways than one.

I thought the deal was Civil War, two standalone films and the two Avenger films?

ETA: Answered above. That's what happens when you post/reply before reading the rest of thread.

Did we get a hint as to the new owners of Avengers Tower?

Apparently, as Peter swung by the former Avengers tower while it's being renovated at the end of the movie, there is some signage at the construction site that reads, "We can't wait to show you what comes next. 1-2-3-?"

A hint to the Fantastic Four? That would certainly be very cool.

Oh, damn, I missed that. I'll have to keep an eye out for that the next time I watch the film.
