Can we say small Universe syndrome? I feel like I'm a spoilt child saying this because we have a successful and rich cinematic universe that works and yet I sometimes want Spiderman to be a little more independent from it in his solo film. Seeing him team up with avengers is so so sweet though. The tone of these movies is just a little too fun.
To me, small universe syndrome is when they make the world feel smaller by having characters all happening to know each other through sheer coincidence. Running into side characters just for a cameo would be a small universe syndrome moment.

Here's a little different. The characters are all connected because they share a deliberate and intentional connection. Beck seeks out Spider-Man because they both knew Tony Stark. There's nothing small about someone deliberately tracking down someone else. This is different from the Vulture, which was a series of coincidences where Toombs life was hurt by Stark, the mentee of Stark randomly came across him, and that mentee and Toomb's daughter go to the same school. It's mitigated by the Vulture at least operating where he lives, which is where his daughter would go to school.

Ah, good point. That's another good example. So it's not quite as unprecedented as I initially thought, but it's still pretty damn cool.
It’s not even unprecedented in this franchise: Lou Ferrigno voiced the Hulk for the first two Avenger films.

I’m disappointed we never got to see Stan as Mayor Stan. Of course, with the things they can do with CG these days, we still might.

I suppose, but that felt more like a homage than a continuation, especially considering Mark Ruffalo contributed so heavily with the the green beastie once he took over.

True, but I certainly hope we get more than just a cameo. Simmons certainly seemed to relish returning to the role.

Death of Jean DeWolff. With Daredevil.

Good point, that was a great crossover story and Spider-Man story in general.

Kraven's Last Hunt, which guest starred Daredevil, Cap and Human Torch.

That was a great story but I don't think it was a crossover (been a while since I read it but glancing at a wiki only Cap was only referenced), at least not in either the general sense or in the MCU sense.

Cap wasn't just referenced. Him, Torch and DD were all in the story hunting down Kraven until Spidey got back.

All Hail the Night Monkey!

Really enjoyed this. It was much...bigger than I thought it would be. Those illusion scenes were pretty intense (Like Iron Man crawling out of his grave). :ack:

Good humor. Great action. The battle scene at the bridge was very well done.

Here’s a thought...

What if we didn’t see Nick Fury and Maria Hill get dusted at the end of Infinity War, but the Skrulls posing as them in this movie did?
While the real Fury was off enjoying fake Tahiti on a spaceship for 5 years?
:D

Oh HELL.

Now that's going to bug me at least until Black Widow hits the cinemas!

He gave the Captain Marvel pager to Talos?
