Post a Random Fact About Yourself

Can you run, I mean, for sports? I am told that flat fleet can be a serious impairment for that.

i am completely flat-footed --no arch at all. Never could run worth a damn and I've had knee and ankle problems my whole life. My feet roll in rather badly, since there's no arch, which makes me knock-kneed. Most of my weight ends up on my toes, as they are doing all the work of keeping my foot upright. The bones in my toes & feet are starting to give out--Osteoarthritis.

The hardest part has been finding shoes that don't hurt my feet, or will at least keep my ankles from rolling in. That means orthopedic shoes. All my life I've wanted to wear pretty, cool, girly shoes like everyone else, but I always ended up in clunky orthopedic, old lady shoes.

Now I AM an old lady and I am struggling to afford good orthopedic shoes. I have two good pairs, both black. I need to get a new pair of Merrell's but they want a ridiculous price for the ones I want. Maybe I'll get them for my birthday in the fall.

Anyone else with flat feet ever been told they need to "walk right"?

My dad used to look at the solid wet footprints I'd leave at the sides of diving pools and criticize me for walking wrong, somehow.

Now, I discovered recently that my left foot actually DOES have a bit of an arch when it's not touching the floor, but once it does...nope, there's that solid blob of an imprint again.

Hubs is told regularly that his gait is weird and he’s already had his hip replaced. His feet are so flat it hurts me to look at them. Finding good supportive shoes in his size (15) are his actual hobby.

So you well know good shoes in larger sizes are hard to find at reasonable prices. :(

I work hard on my abs for the sole reason that I was once jealous of someone who could get punched in the stomach and not feel it...:alienblush:

Some brutish person keeps getting me into trouble. It's inexplicable. It's a detestable individual that seems to have a knack for getting my goat. I am told it's not that uncommon.

I never do even though if I could find heels in a 15 I might bring them home. His sisters are very tall too and they’ve got big big heels in their closets!

the mother of one of my daughters is taller than me (1.94m, i'm 1.90) - she used to buy her size 12 heels in sexshops. she always said they got the better selection. i need to ask her whether she still does.
