STAR TREK: PICARD - Filming Locations

Nice walk up to the convention center.
I've done the same exact thing at the Monterey Bay Aquarium with my phone, several times.
But I see no reason to post a YT video about it in the Trek BBS.

Forgot to ask...does anyone know what this location could be in the show? I am guess it is a new Starfleet Academy. It could also be a new Starfleet HQ with cadets training on the day Picard shows up.
That was the notion it gave me. From the few details that have been given, i might make sense too, since it looks like he's putting together a team that isn't exactly Red Squad material.

Or it might be exactly like the "Red Squad", since they broke the rules to put on their graduation demo that ended in a not so lovely outcome for one member.

You're thinking of Nova Squad. Red Squad were the elite cadets on DS9 who ended up with their own Defiant class warship, and then when the supervising officers were killed they went on a power trip convinced they could take down a Dominion ubership. It didn't turn out well for any of them.

My bad...
But, both instances involved characters with questionable moral thinking, which may be just what Adm. Picard needs at the moment in this particular show.
(or at least may be willing to put up with to get his agenda compleated)

IIRC, there is a heavy Romulan involvement in this new series. Since Romulus had been mostly destroyed by the actions that happened in Trek09, and since Picard had close ties with Spock and Sarek (before and after Unification), along with the events in Nemesis, he likely had a vested interest in seeing their dream of unification with the Vulcans come to fruition. He was understandably shaken by Romulus (and Remus by close intra-stellar location) being destroyed not long after initial peace overtures began between Romulas and the Federation (that he likely spearheaded) and decided to bow out. However, something big and powerful enough pops up to bring him back. Maybe the hope of a big fat red candy-like "reset" button to get everything back to normal again. Q's involvement and dabbling with AGT "anti-time" may be required.
