There are two older female actresses I love watching right now. Helen Marrin and Judy Dench. Both badasses in their own way (Judy Dench for Bond and Helen Marrin in The Queen).

There is also Tilda Swinton in the Doctor Strange movies. I hope endgame wasn’t the end of her character.

Liam Neeson & Denzel Washington are pushing it past the point of believability imho. Tom Cruise & Keanu Reeves are at the end, as I see it, but in all those cases, a lot of the action is hand to hand, & that's what's hard to buy. Linda's Sarah Connor is just a gun toting badass. Charles Bronson pulled that shit off until he was in his 70s lol, because it isn't entirely unrealistic. Old people can operate guns.

I think what pisses me off about the entire Terminator franchise, since T2, is that, regardless of how implausible it might be to do it, the series has lost a great deal of it's top notch acting ever since it hasn't had Michael Biehn. He's the only missing element from that original recipe. It pisses me off that we don't see him more in major motion pictures in general. He's terrific. He & Linda are what MADE that movie something people took to. By all rights, it is otherwise a rather cheesy 80s B movie, & had you put it in the hands of any other unknown actors of that time, it most likely stinks up the screen. His presence is sorely missed imho. The casting of that original is OUTSTANDING.

Biehn should have been used more. He seems to always be in the shadow of bigger stars in the 80's. First it was Arnold and Sarah Connor and then later it was Ripley. The biggest hurt though was when it comes to new actors is Christian Bale as John Connor. That should have been a match made in Heaven and it totally flopped.

He’s in a deleted scene from T2. He appears to Sarah in the hospital and urges her to escape in order to keep John safe. It’s a nice scene but could be viewed as Sarah finally snapping or she’s seeing ghosts.

Sarah was also doped up during that sequence, the orderlies force-feed her her meds in the previous scene.

I'm torn after i saw the trailer - on the one hand Hamiton returns to her iconic role and Cameron is at the helm again but on the other it's seems just another people vs. Terninator gun fest.

Now oviously the devil is in the details and we know nothing about the story (or at least i don't). the purpose of a trailer is to generate interest and blowing up cool looking Terminators is enough for many but i do hope they can get something new out of the franchise.

Most likely i'll be watching it at the movies but i'm cautious.

Or this (deleted) Kyle is a Time traveler giving the time line a gentle nudge.

Which is something people should be worried about, especially after the lackluster trailer. Why do I think he might have just signed off on this and went to work on what he wants to do and that is his 200 "Avatar" sequels. It could be another thing like were you think Peter Jackson directed that movie about moving cities but is just a producer. I know people like Tim Miller but I do wonder how much influence he had in making "Deadpool" a great movie. That is so much a Ryan Reynolds passion project and lets not forget he wasn't brought back for the sequel and it was also a great movie.

And not even scripting either. His writing credit is only 'story' on this one.

    It looks terrible.

I have love for Linda Hamilton but this just looks the same as the last one, all style and no substance. This franchise was ar met it's best telling simple tight stories with good special effects before it all got out of hand.

Hoping I'm proved wrong but I doubt it

Which could be something as simple as someone having lunch with him, and asked him about Terminator ideas & he was like "Oh, yeah I got an idea... Old Sarah Connor, blah blah, blah" & they were like, "Well, we want to keep cashing in on the IP, so that'll do. Care to pony up some funds for it?" "Sure, I could use a pay day, so I can make more blue JarJar movies"

I really think this franchise should have stopped after T2 so will probably catch this one on a redbox

Me I actually liked T3 and really liked the tv show but that was it beyond of course the first two movies. Even with T3 I think most of the respect comes from the awesome ending it has. Granted I did like seeing Arnold fight and the female terminator I thought was pretty good, especially compared to what we got in the next two movies.

Every time a new movie turns up, it moves delays Judgement Day, which means that the world and skynet is slightly more advanced, either it's running on Windows 98 or windows ME, and different might not be staggering, but Kyle would have lost quick to a liquid metal terminator.

Why not move judgement day the other way?

Blow up the world when Skynet has the sophistication of Pong.

Copy and pasted from a conversation I had on Disqus at BirthMoviesDeath, 'cause I'm lazy as fuck.

Keep in mind that the "story by" people (James Cameron, Dark Angel showrunner Charles H. Eglee, Sarah Connor Chronicles showrunner Josh Friedman, David S.hit Goyer and RoboCop Returns re-writer Justin Rhodes) were all part of the writers room Cameron put together to break the story after being pleased with how a similar TV-esque set up worked out for the Avatar sequels.

Goyer and Rhodes then co-wrote the first draft screenplay, which was then re-written by Shattered Glass/Breach/Captain Phillips scribe Billy Ray. This is one case where "Look at all those names!" isn't nearly as bad as it first appears.

If Skynet is more advanced now it definitely isn't running ME.

I thought T3 was "ok" mostly because Arnie still had something left for a physical role and Claire Danes is always a reliable actress and does well.

I didn't buy Stahl as JC, I mean JC was a pretty bad ass kid with a very sharp wit and he grows up to be this whiney dude? I just didn't get it.

It was a mixed bag and just a "decent" action movie but that's better than what came after obviously

Originally, that we know of, Skynet became aware in 1997.
