Bran would know if that were the case.

Here's Bran's vision scene from Scene 4, including the shot of him viewing King's Landing through the eyes of Drogon.

And for completeness, Dany's vision from Season 2 including what happens to her after the finale I presume.

"if you’re pleasing everyone, then it’s probably quite tepid."

    Yep.

I wouldn't be interested in any resurrections. That shit is commercial pandering, not storytelling for grown-ups.

Guess I'd like to see Tyrion and Arya again.

I don't mind the idea of a sequel later on but not one that reverses character traits, deaths and significant accomplishments of the ending, but without really adding anything new.

I'd rather have one that starts in a different region than Westeros and gradually interacts more and more with some of the characters we know.

I’d rather see an Arya “West of Westeros” series. So many things they can do with that, and really show off her abilities. Maybe have her getting chased by the Faceless Men to punish her for using the skills they taught her outside their Order’s precepts and rules. Jaqen H'ghar could become a semi-regular, torn between his duty to the FM and his friendship with Arya.

Eh, for me, I watch Westeros for the politics.

Maybe there are politics there too. Just politics of a different nature.

    That and the honeycomb line.

That was meant as a joke, I think, seeing that Bran is a one man Stasi.

I think they would have turned on one another. The Dragon should have burned Jon, but didn't due to family ties.
Had that happened, the crown truly would have been up in the air. I might have had an episode where there was a huge fight in the ruins, with few left alive, the Northmen breaking it up at the end.

The firing of King's Landing wasn't the worst thing I've seen on screen. That was David killing all the Engineers in the latest ALIEN movie.

I loved the still of Dany with the dragon wings

I guess you knew she was going bad when she rocked those Theresa May leathers.

My view is the Faceless Men trained Arya for the sole purpose of giving her skills to fight the Night King. They worship the God of Death and the Night King was stealing the dead from the God of Death. If this is the case than the Faceless Men would have no reason to punish Arya.

Good point! Hadn’t thought of that - quite right on that count.

There was the little matter of Walder Frey and his many progeny however...

That has potential. But I don't think HBO will do any GoT related series without the storyline being developed by GRRM, which IMO is as should be. That's why I said earlier I hope he finishes the last 2 books and writes a sequel (hopefully in my lifetime and his).

Its why I think the prequel should be the Dance of the Dragons. It gives them a cast, an outline, and an ending.

So I've finally finished watching now and while the ending wasn't as good as I'd hoped, it also wasn't as bad as many people seem to be claiming. At least not for me.

The main thought I took out of it though was, with all the talk of prequels, the developers seem to have missed the best spin-off possibility.

Who wouldn't want to watch a weekly 30 minute sitcom based on Bran the Broken's small council? Bron and Davos snarking at each other, Tyrion trying to keep everyone under control, Sam being his usual awkward self, Brienne playing the "straight man" to the other's craziness. There's even room for a couple of new characters. It would be a joy to watch.
