I imagine this episode deeply resonate with anyone raised by devout believers of any faith. I know it means more to me the older I and my parents get. In spite of our differences I’m glad to still have them both in my life.
I think as you get older you realise maybe the vanity of thinking you are old because you are thirty or forty is nothing. Real age is when time is running out.

Daddy turned 85 last week and thankfully he’s pretty well. We never miss a chance to see him and lucky we are so geographically close too!

I'm glad for you. :) Actually my Dad is pretty old too, older by quite a bit than Mum but he hasn't 'travelled' so well. Less about his years and more that he has Parkinson's. I rang to speak to him on his Birthday (he lives in NZ and I in Australia) and I was told he wouldn't know me. It is what it is and I kind of think of him going on his own journey that we are not part of. I may have issues with my Step-Mum but she has been so loyal and attentive so in his moments of clarity he knows she is close. I just find it difficult to sometimes imagine how helpless he is and tell myself he is being looked after.

I’m sorry about your father but glad he’s in god hands. My husband’s father isn’t doing very well and his step mother is the best thing that’s ever happened to his father.

I like the colors and Janeway's hairstyle.

I think Species 8472 are one of the best aliens added to Star Trek.
Agreed. I quite liked them in the relaunch books as well - even if the books themselves are not my favourites.
But that guy who was a disguised human and was married to Captain Eden was kind of interesting. I mean his storyline was. And I could also really relate to Captain Eden how devastated she felt when her husband turned out to be a member of Species 8472. Of course, this was only a prelude to her predicament - but it was quite a memorable start.

I like the season 1-3 books, most of all "The Black Shore", "Marooned" and "Caretaker". They are very good and the stories in some of them would have been great as TV-episodes. They are also easy to adapt to the timeline of the series.

I'm glad it does, Refuge, and I hope I'll have a few more that will do so in the future.
To be honest, I just hope that this thread of mine is a bright spot among all the negativity and hostility we can find on this message board (and others) towards the show.
It does. I don't want to get soppy but this thread is the brightest spot for me on this whole forum. Thank you.
