I can see it now. Picard and Data come across a Klingon Touring Acting Troop where Worf is unmerrily performing a version of Robin Hood, and Picard tells Worf in his best John Belushi voice...

"We're getting the band back together."

I wonder, does anyone think we might get a reference to what happened to the Enterprise? I didn't really think about it until now, but time has passed since Nemesis, and we have no idea (until the show starts, presumably) what's happened to Picard or the Enterprise since then. I don't think we'll see much, but I assume we'll at least get some backstory about why he (presumably) retired, and maybe a reference to who took over command of the Enterprise (or possibly an Enterprise-F). I can't imagine they'll completely ignore the Enterprise, even if its just referenced in a line or two of dialog.

As for cameos, I really want Worf to show up, if for no other reason then to prove that Klingon's still look like him in Trek's "present" instead of looking like the Disco klingons. I'd also really like to see a Geordi cameo. Well, ok, I'd be happy with any and all possible Trek cameos, those are just the two that I'd put at the top of my list.

DSC Klingons look a lot like more detailed TNG Klingons now as of Season 2.
Adding hair really improved the look, plus some small changes in the make up.

Looking at the uniforms, In expecting the Star Trek Online Enterprise-F or something like it. Not that I think we'll actually see it.

Yeah, I know. I watched DSC Season 2 and really enjoyed it (such a great turnout from a mixed to mediocre season 1) , but their klingons looking more like real Klingons still doesn't mean that they look great. The show still needs to remove the terrible teeth that the actors can't speak through, fix the head shapes, ears, eyes, skin, etc. The hair helped, and one or two of the background klingon's almost looked acceptable, but all the main speaking ones still looked pretty bad, especially the chancellor.

Anyway, I'd want to see Worf in general, even if DSC hadn't pretty much ruined their version of the klingons in season 1 he'd still be near the top of my list of wanted cameos, but I do want to see the show completely reject the DSC klingons also, whether its with Worf or just any Klingon in that era. I'm 99% sure that if we see a Klingon in Picard they will completely look like the TNG era and later klingons, I just hope we get that sooner rather then later.

TNG ignored TOS-style Romulans even though both TFF and TUC(both films produced after the Romulan look for the 24th century was introduced on TNG)gave us Romulans with smooth foreheads and TOS-style appearances and both looks were canon. It's possible PIC will ignore the DSC Klingon look and just let that design be its own thing in its own specific era while not deliberately going out of its way to contradict or retcon it.

God I hope not. I hate that design. I’d much rather see starships that look nothing like what we’ve seen before, since it’s now almost the 25th century. No more saucer sections and nacelles. Give us something new.

Unfortunately I’m guessing that Eaves will be designing the ships, so expect more of the same.

In fairness, Eaves did SS Sarajevo. He can do different looking ships, but he just doesn't very often.

I suspect they'll do what the latter-day classic movies did, and use designs somewhere inbetween the early movies and Next Gen styles - i.e. hybrids of DSC and TNG. More Klingons looking like Glen Hetrick's background cameo, which don't look out of place next to L'Rell or Worf.

But seeing what Michael Dorn looks like nowadays, I'm really not sure he can portray a big fearsome Worf any longer thus rendering the whole thing moot.

I'm glad he's still fit, but yeah. It's the flip-side of William Shatner.

I would love to find out that Enterprise-F was commanded by Captain Tom Paris.

With Ensign Kim serving under his command, of course. ;)

Captain Wesley Crusher, with a moustache from one issue of the TNG comic from the 90's that I remember where future-Wesley was captain of the Enterprise-D.

Captain Riker and the Titan better have cameos or I'm boycotting the series. Lean into it, CBS.
