This is me making a joke but I don't think the Seven Kingdoms Wexiting is a good solution for anyone's economic or societal wellbeing.
Dornexit? Iron Islexit? Noexit? Eyrexit?
Actually, what are the other two? One of those things that's absolutely clear if you read the books, I'm assuming.
So...apparently there's a theory floating around that Jaime is still alive. The weird part is that theory appears to be based solely on social media activity and press releases, i.e. the lack of public farewells to and from Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (whereas as other cast members whose characters are dead have gotten and said such farewells).
This is slightly supported by the Entertainment Weekly article I shared at the beginning of the thread where the author was shocked to see certain characters in the finale.
Given Jamie was holding Cersei, it would be absolutely insane if a cave-in killed her and he survived.
Even more importantly though, surviving a cave-in like that is awful, because it means you're going to slowly die of thirst or lack of oxygen in total darkness, unable to move. Certainly no one is going to dig through rubble to look for him when they have no idea where he is. Which means by some insane coincidence all the rocks would have to miss him and he'd be able to dig himself out one handed.
He'll become an accidental Queenslayer when Daenerys is wandering around the ruins of the Red Keep, trips over his golden hand sticking out of the rubble and falls head first onto a jagged piece of stone, dying instantly.I hope it won't be one of those tired old TV tropes, "if there's no body, they're still alive" and have him pop up at the last minute to take Dany out, making him a "Queenslayer".
Well it certainly wouldn't be the only nonsensical turn this season has taken...I didn't say it was a sensible theory. Just one that's floating around, bizarrely held up by non-series evidence.![]()
The Iron Islands are also not one of the seven kingdoms, because at the time of conquest it was briefly under control of The Riverlands. Traditionally, it is a vassal kingdom which pledged fealty to the Targaryens.
I hope that's not the case. Jamie's/Cersei's ending was fitting as it was. There was a theory that Arya would wear Jaime's face. Under that theory, they'd certainly use Nikolaj Coster-Waldau even though the character was dead. However, the theory was trying to explain how Arya could kill Cersei. So, I think that's out the window. She wouldn't use his face to kill Dany!So...apparently there's a theory floating around that Jaime is still alive. I think they've set up Dani to die in the finale. What happens after that I can't guess, the writers have certainly thrown me for a loop. But whatever, it's been a great ride!
So Dany becomes a ruler by fear, alone, wracked by guilt for the rest of her days. And Tyrion starts drinking and whoring again, defeated in his seat of ancestral power.

It would be great if we see Sean Bean play Ned again. Any character can appear in the finale if Bran decides to visit the past.
