I actually prefer the final Saint theme. But I know I’m in the minority....

It's a weird bit of "Why did they do that?" in that it's so obviously trying to sound like the old theme.

Maybe to stop paying Leslie Charteris, who came up with the original tune, apparently...

I was wondering if it might be something like that. It reminds me a lot of how TAS aped the TOS theme, but The Saint theme's makeover isn't nearly as aggressively generic.

You didn't just call the TAS theme generic, did you?

    More cartoonish than generic, actually.

Well, TAS' music is the least of TAS' problems...;) Did you see Uhura run?

Who runs faster, Uhura or Velma?

Once he gets running, clearly Scooby runs faster than both of them.

The problem with Uhura (in the cartoon) is that she doesn't run. She walks... "fast"... it's really weird in a comical way.

We know. Hence the mention of Velma.

I see. I haven't watched Scooby-Doo for a couple of decades or so. To tell you the truth I was never a big fan of the cartoon, hence my not getting the allusion...

The original twenty five episodes of Scooby Doo were excellent! :techman:

    This is not Klingon blood!
Old Man Colonel West! He was behind the whole thing all along!
And I'd have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling... er... kids.

Oof, that little scene was a bit lame.

It’s one of the reasons I vastly prefer the theatrical cut
