^^ Same thing with The Ed Sullivan Show. Imagine what a project it would be to bring shows like that to DVD.

Wow, that is a much earlier time window than I thought.

I wouldn't have minded seeing The Cape (The Corbin Bernson) one on dvd.

(Of course, I still have it on vhs so it may be time for a rewatch - and end up thinking it wasn't as good as I remembered)

Have to agree with wanting sets of Charlie Jade, Stark Raving Mad and Herman's Head. Have always been curious about Blake's 7, so the first season would be nice to have available too.

But there were two short-lived series, Strange Luck and Brimstone, that would be fun to revisit I think. (They were Fox when they were desperate enough to be more innovative.) And one that AMC for some strange reason refused to stick with, Rubicon. I suppose the reviewers were too offended by the show's politics to give it any buzz.

I can't remember if it's been mentioned yet, but I would like the 1960s series "Run for your Life" on DVD.

I know Charlie Jade made it to region 2 on dvd (saw it in a charity show about seven or so years ago) and is currently available on Amazon UK . I thought about picking it up at the time but didn't:(

I hate it when that happens. Red Dwarf is normally just a bunch of random stand-alone adventures with very little continuity. Many of the seasons had the episode order drastically altered before the episodes aired and it made no difference. But then I missed the very important episode from Season VII when Rimmer left and I spent the rest of the season wondering what happened to him.

I remember loving Strange Luck! It'd be great to see it again.

$109? That's BBC level pricing right there. I want it, but I can wait for the price to come way down.

In the lap of squalor I assure you.
"The Best of" a particular comedian "videos" were coming out in the 90s.

There's over a dozen episodes of ARLI$$ on youtube if you care to trawl.

Legend got a dvd release in 2016, I discovered recently.

I'm still annoyed that more seasons of Law & Order: UK aren't available. AFAIK, only the first two are.

If you're talking about the Richard Dean Anderson western series, I'd avoid it. I'd like to get it too, but it's from Mill Creek Entertainment, a company I've had nothing but bad luck with. Their disks freeze up halfway through the episodes or movies. How they haven't gone out of business is beyond me.

Once and Again must've sold poorly on DVD, because the third season had art, a release date and everything, then nothing, not a peep. Just never came out.

I don't know if everyone knows this but I know people were talking about "7 Days" awhile back. I noticed today while perusing Amazon that the show is now on dvd. I think it's like $50 for the complete series if anyone is interested.

    Go ahead, caller. I'm listening...
"Beavis and Butthead", and, to a lesser extent, "Daria", can't be brought to DVD properly, because the licensing agreements for using the music videos and some of the other music did not include digital rights. "Daria" was awesome enough to want, anyway, but who wants "Beavis and Butthead" without the music video segments (which is what the current DVD offerings are)?

Similarly, "Birds of Prey" (series with Batgirl, Black Canary, and the Huntress) will never be distributed with the original theme for the show intact. Big licensing mess involving a record label being purchased in between the artist for "Revolution" (the actual theme) being recorded as a single for demo purposes and the rights being fully secured and the song being put on an actual album - which never happened because of the sale. The show is shown on CW Seed with a different, crappier theme. :brickwall:

Of course the upside to shows these days with different themes is you can click on Youtube. Watch the theme as it's suppose to be and then go back to the episodes. It's always been the in-episode music tampering that has bothered me.
