Black panther was created in 1966 by a white comic team, it was a deliberate choice to produce the first black hero in American comics. There was no "just happened to" about it. I can imagine how many good old boys/people 53 years ago must have shit their knickers.
Stephen King’s theory is that writers don’t create, they discover. The story is already there, the author just finds it and brings it to life for all to experience.

Did my eyes betray me or was Coulson at the funeral? There was a young man - no Idea who he was supposed to be - and behind him, near the house stood someone who looked like Coulson.

Didn't see him but I believe the young chap was the kid from Iron Man 3?

Presumably a future "Iron Lad"

Not sure if anyone's mentioned what I think is the only irredeemable problem with the film. New Asgard is in Norway, so why was the driver that dropped Rocket and Banner off driving a right-hand-drive UK registered car?

If they willingly want to go, it's no issue at all.
Why would they want to do that and leave everyone else behind?
She's been talking about such a movie since she was doing press for Captain Marvel, going as far getting some of the actresses together and asking Kevin Feige directly for such a film.

I'm all for it. As she has said, it's long overdue. I know I wouldn't be the only person who would love watching it.
Also, from a more pragmatic and slightly petty POV; DC are already making a 'Birds of Prey' movie, why why not try and show up WB just one more time? ;)
It's barely a second of screen time and just look at the reaction. I'm amazed that anyone could delude themselves into thinking that's a reasonable reaction.
I wish I could say the reaction surprised me, but a few years back on this very board I once off-handedly suggested that just *perhaps* it wasn't entirely necessary for an episode of AoS to start with a shot of Chloe Bennet pulling her underwear up...and oh boy, did that ever provoke an unintended reaction. You'd think I'd suggested that eating live babies should be a part of a healthy, balanced diet or something.

Prior to that I'd say I was rather naive in regards to just how tightly some people cling to their world views and how they will go to frankly ridiculous lengths at even the slightest possibility that even a tiny piece of it may be being called into question. Now, not so much.

I gave it an A-. I really enjoyed it. I kind of felt some of the conclusions were predictable, but I still felt a little emotional. And I wanted a cheeseburger. :)

I think it's sad people would use a Superhero/heroine movie for role models. I adore him but it has a talking raccoon in it! It's entertainment pure and simple not a reflection of reality.

You KNOW it's very insensitive to call them "racoons" We live in 2019, damn it. You have to call them "Procyon lotor" (yes had to look that up :D) or you could be accused of being an anti-racoonist
