Spoilers Supernatural season 14

I can’t believe Crowley would get himself involved with some so evil and heinous as Donald Trump.

Can't be Trump. Remember the President in this universe was the guy who was posessed by the devil and helped give birth to Jack.

Well, yeah, Holy Crap indeed. I've been looking forward to Chuck's expected return, but I wasn't expecting anything like this. But you know what they say: Chuck answers all prayers, but sometimes the answer is "Zombie Apocalypse."

One of the things that's always intriguing about Chuck's appearances is the suggestion of limitations to his powers. Apparently he can't just restore Jack's soul with a snap of his fingers like he can restore the world. And he seemed to admit that he was nervous about Jack because Jack has "Chuck-level" powers. Or was he lying? Is it really all just about the story, about Chuck's favorite show? Are they really suggesting that all the pain and misery in the world is just because God is nothing but a writer? You know, I'm really offended and outraged at the negative portrayal of writers on this show. Writers contribute a lot to society. We deserve better representation and agency. Or at least better agents. Anyway, it seemed very odd that all-knowing Chuck could be surprised by Dean's actions-- and it seemed even weirder that he tried to bribe Dean by offering to resurrect Mary. Not to mention that he was able to fry Jack so easily after saying that he couldn't. I kept thinking that everything that was happening was some kind of test-- or temptation-- to see how the boys and Cass performed. And I still don't think that that is necessarily off the table.

But for all appearances, as we head into the final season, we've got the actual Biblical Apocalypse when the graves give up their dead and stuff, however that goes. I find this intriguing, because for a long time I've thought of Supernatural as the Third Testament, and that the Winchesters would be game changers in the state of the world and its relationship to Heaven and Hell. Perhaps that will actually happen. It could be that Chuck is testing humanity by means of the Winchesters or it could be that he will be the Big Bad of the final chapter. Maybe one or both of the Winchesters will replace him. Assuming they aren't both consumed by cannibalistic Zombies and that the final season isn't set in the Squirrelverse.

And what about Jack, out there in the Big Empty? Was that wiggly black thing the Big Empty Curator or Lucifer? And there was Billy, telling Jack that they have to talk-- the assumption would be that she wants to talk to him about being dead, but I think there's something more to it than that, especially after she came up in conversation between Dean and Chuck.

Looks like next season is going to be a mighty weird finale. I can't wait. :D

I don't think that was Chuck-- probably Lucifer or the guy from the big empty. But I don't think that was really Chuck. For all his faults, he usually isn't proactively a dick.
I'd be happy with that, since I don't want Chuck to be a dick, but would Lucifer or Big Empty Guy have that much power? Reversing Jack's Truth Spell, fixing the world, teleporting hither and yon, frying Jack's eyes? I think only Chuck could do those things.

Apparently then the show doesn't take place in the "Doctor Who" universe because she and the royal family are werewolves in that universe. Unless she is a lizard person who turns into a werewolf at night.

I've been playing catch up on this show all season so I haven't spent much time in this thread, but the season finale blew me away. I loved how they subverted expectations with Chuck's return and the rise of the Zombie Apocalypse while Motorhead was playing. I'm hoping we get some great throwaway jokes about things like the Walking Dead next season. All in all a great set up for the final round of Supernatural next year.

I'm not sure it's going to be all zombies next year. We also saw the return of ghosts as well. In fact I predict the zombies will be sort of taken care off by the end of the first episode but we will know other monsters and even souls can be seen. I kind of wonder if we might even see Bela return. Maybe just maybe they could get Laura Cohan back for a single episode.

Jason

Possibly. Chuck has been writing their adventures throughout. Refusing to kill Jack was something that he did not foresee/write and he was pissed off. Whatever happens, the writers have set up a very fitting premise to the final season of a long running series.

One thing I think is Jack is going to kill God and become the new God. That might explain the meeting with Billy and I think Satan. Jack rules Heaven. Satan gets to rule Hell in the end. We might also see the end of all ghosts and monsters in the world as a happy ending of the show. It means the boys can go and live a happy normal life for the first time ever. Castiel will be in charge of the angels including those who are returned from the big empty.

What a finale. God brought forth the apocalypse! I'm sad Jack died so horribly but at least we'll see him again in the Empty. Will Sam and Dean face all the monsters they've sent to Hell throughout the final season?

Can't be Trump. Remember the President in this universe was the guy who was posessed by the devil and helped give birth to Jack.

Jason

And Trump never colluded with Russians.

We saw 3 previous ghosts/monsters at the end there, the Woman in white(S1), Bloody Mary(S1), and an evil clown, though not sure which one it’s meant to be, they’ve encountered a few. Probably Season 2?

'Chuck as the series Big Bad' definitely has me interested in the final season. I love when they mess with our expectations, and there are so many ways the show could take this plotline.

For instance:

Is Chuck just pretending to be a jerk?

Is there really only one Chuck in the multiverse?

Is Chuck's sister also a one-off in the multiverse? If so, how does that work with Lucifer's back story in the Michaelverse?

Is The Empty just for one universe's supernatural dead or all of them? Could Billy be working with her counterparts in other universes?

Could this all be a lead-up to the creation of our universe (meaning a place lacking in demons, monsters, etc.)?

The current president is always president in your show unless the plot calls for someone else. As soon as that plot is done it’s back to the real world current president. TV rule 11

Not this time. The president is Jack's dad (sort of) and Kelly Kline (Jack's mom) worked for him. Also, Mueller Report ruled out Russian collusion if nothing else.
