Just because you don't have them doesn't mean they haven't functionally existed since the 1940s. It just means that most everybody else doesn't want one and you're not willing to fork out the money it will cost you to have one. Discovery can be a theme. Within the series and without. I certainly discover new things all the time. What's on screen, what's the intent, where they're going, and especially telling are discovering reactions and what they reveal. But also discovering how it all connects together and discovering more about things we thought we knew but didn't. I think one thing we can all agree on -- or most of us -- is liking discovering more about Pike.
Granted, I'm still in favor of keeping the ship.

That actually describes Dr. Gabrielle Burnham rather well.
I mean, I figure time travel would make anyone crazy. Also, possibly causing cell damage since Seven eventually tied from it.
Well Dr. Burnham's magical Red Angel suit could revive Michael from near death, so maybe it was healing her too?
