I'm not sure if it was actually an extra episode, or if they just lengthened the arc so as to not rush the conclusion.
To your point, it would be cool to know the behind-the-scenes story on that one.
Don't forget the (pre-remaster) engineering logs from Galaxy's Child, where Dr. Brahms didn't find anything unusual in Geordi apparently using it as a day planner, given that the last bullet point for that stardate read 'tonight on HBO.'
Yep. Tom Cruise could have easily taken that name for his character.
It kept me from watching any of them. I really liked the 60's show too.

"I won't pay of something that should be on regular TV"
"I already have too many streaming services...won't pay for another just to see one show"

"I'll watch it illegally"
"FA-Q CBS, you greedy bastids"

The last 2 episodes have the same writers and director, so I think they just made the last episode a 2 parter. I think this is a good thing, they should have done the same with season one finale.

Pity. They’re really good.
I'm not hurting for entertainment. I guess I could have watched them all and hated each one more than the last and posted about every little detail of it I despised and how it would have been much better if they'd left it the way Desilu intended but instead I've just not watched it, and actually this is the first time I've mentioned it. I might see one one of these days but I doubt it.
You can skip the first two as they’re considered the weaker ones. Two does have a awesome score however.
