Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

This is true, but for all the models I've accumulated over the years, only a small handful have arrived with something popped off, and none were so bad off that they couldn't be fixed with a couple of dabs of superglue in strategic locations.

The one possible exception being the Quqh, which had those tiny little pointy things on the bow get bent in the box. I'm almost too afraid to bend them back and make it worse.

Yeah, disconnected warp nacelles haven't been uncommon - i've only received three that were irreparably damaged: Defiant, for which the shipping and product boxes were 100%, so the damage had to have happened at the factory, and the Romulan Drone and whatever came with it (i think maybe the 1701-B?), which arrived totally crushed.

Maybe try the hot/cold water trick? Dip the bow in hot water to soften the plastic, then once in place reset with cold water - that's worked for me in the past in similar situations.

the worker bee and ISS shenzhou arrived today.

not to be all hyperbolic, but i think the worker bee is one of the best models eaglemoss has produced. the detail, the paint application, the transparent plastic, it all works to create a model that is the closest translation i've seen of screen-used CG files to physical model:

and the ISS shenzhou is headed to eBay, thanks eaglemoss:

Yeah, that...doesn’t look great. Mind you, I disliked the Discovery throughout all of series one, but during series 2 it’s really grown on me. I don’t know if it’s different lighting and/or camera work, but she almost looks elegant, something I’d never have said before. Or maybe you can just get used to anything.

I love that particular Excelsior prototype!

Very glad EM have produced this: I like the look of starships from this era of Trek (including quirky unused concepts of this ilk) - and its oberth style nacelle end caps. For me, it’s something of a lost / lesser seen era of Trek design, which I would love to see more of through various media.

So very pleased they have done this proto!

The Exclesior prototype is seen at the Qualor II Surplus Depot from TNG Unification, so it is an onscreen canon ship, and therefore why it's included in the main line. Granetd it's some fuzzy background ship, but that didn't stop all the Wolf 359 ships, the Curry, Yeager class, etc

Do a google image search for Qualor 2 and you'll see it

US eagle moss is having a sale without exclusion 10% off additional 15% off for orders over 68 dollars code is MADHEAT. And last for this weekend.

Yeah, some of the concepts can be a bit weird - the ones in the TNG Tech Manual are a case in point, especially the one with the nacelles at the front flanking a central module that pulls mission-specific modules behind it like a giant T shape.
