Red Angel Theories- Post Here

As much attention as Burnham is receiving, she's still only in her regular uniform when she sits down in the chair in the preview (instead of wearing the RA suit we've seen). I have a question, though:
How do we know there aren't multiple people sent as Red Angels? Why assume it's only 1 person?

With this season having such an emphasis on teamwork (as has been discussed in interviews), it would be the "teamwork" kind of thing to do to share the burden. What if multiple guesses are correct? Burnham, Georgiou, and possibly others.

If they just have 1 shot at it, they could send multiple people to multiple points in time. It would be perceived as only 1 person and several separate time incursions from a linear point of view, but really a shared burden among the crew making 1 last ditch effort all at once.

I'd like to add the "multiple RAs" theory to the mix. If it's been mentioned already, I'd like to agree with those folks.

I think it’s also because people are coming up with the dumbest ideas ever.

I remember before the show aired I heard some of the silliest fan theories ever.

Define "dumbest ideas" I think it's fun.

On Star Trek Discovery Fans FB page someone suggested a connection to V'Ger

Oh and my money is on either Phillipa Georgiou or Airiam, because they can't leave her dead body floating in space when they have the technology to save her.

BTW the title of the next episode is "Red Angel"

The Red Angel might have something to do with the Cyclops Owl from "Calypso". Its shape looks vaguely like an angel, and the cyclops thing might be an interpretation of the space suit window. Alcor IV seems to be one of the last human colonies by the time of "Calypso" ... so maybe while the tales of the red angel were being passed down each generation, the angel somehow turned into an owl. It's not unusal that myths and legends are changing as time goes by. It would be consistent with the Federation becoming the V'draysh ... and Craft didn't even know what a Tuesday was!

That's because prior to Craft previous generations had banned weekdays :)

The Red Angel turns out to be....Kimbock! Another daughter of Sarek that nobody knew about! :wtf:
Another one with deep-seated self-worth issues and either a rebellious streak or the almost pathological wish to live up to daddy's standards?

I'd still keep watching, you know.

I think we've whittled it down so only sillier theories are left to be presented:

Maybe the church on Terralysium is actually a temporal lighting rod. When Pike gave them the power cell, he unwittingly opened the portal by juicing it up. The forthcoming time alterations will make Terralysium the new home for the Terran Empire.

:D

That's much less silly, but at least Star Trek-ish. :nyah:
