Everything we know about USS Discovery's interior

Perhaps the smaller, flatter surface e of the Primary Hull slips more easily in?
Or could it be that the mass of the Secondary is so much greater that it doesn't slid in as easy?
Or maybe the reaction cube is the pivot point and as the ship finally sunk all the way it would have gone nose first?
I love the pivot point idea. The reaction cube is clearly somehow very special wrt the spore realm. Although we never quite learn why this would be. What did Stamets or Straal do with that cube before they learned to put a navigator in there? Why would spraying this volume with spores make the spores behave differently from what they do in those cylinder tanks?
Gotta rewatch to see how the "water level" changes as the episode progresses. But it's a weird concept to begin with. Is the "water surface" around the ship really visible to outside observers, say, to the S31 ship? Well, the surface inside the ship is visible to the naked eye, so why not... We just don't know what makes it visible here; why is the doorstop effect limited to this specific area around the ship, and what does it tell us about the dimensions of the ship when it flies through spore space (and drags the spirit of Culber along)?
Did Tilly and May get above the surface to reach the lift that took them inside the ship? We saw them on the spine of the ship, and the spine is totally exposed to "normal space" at first. So why isn't Tilly at least doubly dead?

Big cabins, big hallways, big bridge. Yet its somehow smaller than the Enterprise, which had small cabins, small hallways, and a smallish bridge.
Well we haven't seen the enterprise interiors yet. By the time Kirk takes over the crew complement is 400 odd, that's double what it was quoted as being in 'brother. Maybe at some point the internals got a make over to cram more people in?
Dax did consider it worth pointing out that the Enterprise was jam-packed in "Trials and Tribble-ations". Perhaps this was exceptional even for the era?
Why would NCC-1031 be "smaller" than NCC-1701? Even if the saucer of the former weren't as much bigger as it is, the secondary hull would be absolutely massive compared to Kirk's. Mere 135 people would be rattling inside the Discovery, with room to spare for roller-coaster parks and whatnot. But even 600 would have plenty of elbow room.
(Although why would be want to think the ship has 135'ish crew? AFAIK, only a single reference to that number was made, back in "Choose Your Pain", and a lot of water-looking spore realm stuff has passed through the bridge since then.)

I suspect the crew number for Discovery was just farted out without much thought. The ship is enormous, and some shots are so dense with background characters almost 1/3 of the entire crew must be passing through the same corridor, or taking lunch at the same time which would be everybody on a 3 shift system. Oops.
...Except it's a five-shift system. Meaning each shift has about twenty non-bridge folks available. Out of which half a dozen are non-CMO medics, it seems.
But we're talking scattered datapoints here, not continuity of data. The "Saru worries about 134 souls, presumably not including his own or that of the absent Lorca" line came and went, back when the ship presumably was already rid of everybody who didn't directly contribute to the Spore Drive and was conducting silver bullet combat missions. We haven't gotten any updates on the crew count since. Or have we?

Point taken. There was a convention exhibit putting the crew count at 180, but that might be the "ideal circumstances" number. It wouldn't surprise me if during the weeks of debriefing between the end of Burnham's War and relaunching to pick up their originally scheduled captain at Vulcan, Saru wasn't kept busy looking at requests for transfer, new graduates from the Academy and so on to restore the original billeting.
Now seems like a great time to try and make my nickname of "the attic" happen for Pike's Ready Room. More ships aside from the Sisyphus need to have an attic. Who's with me?
Come to think of it, what was the attic's purpose, originally? Lorca's ready room makes a lot more sense, being attached to the bridge directly and not an elevator ride away, and it seems pretty big for an office (it looks like it's nearly the size of the captain's quarters). It's not a briefing room, because they would've used it during briefings at some point. The only thing I can think of is that it's intended to be an Admiral's Bridge for when Discovery was acting as a flagship in charge of a fleet, and Pike decided to move in since the war was over and the odds of an Admiral commandeering Discovery as a fleet command ship had dropped to nil.

That's WAY more rounded that the on-set windows/wall.Thread revival yayyyy.....I'd say it's pretty much confirmed those windows behind the bridge are Pike's Ready Room. The season 2 ship model has been modified to have only 3 windows there, instead of the 5 seen in the opening titles.
I could well see 'em welding shut two windows in-universe, much like they blank out the center part of Lorca's original slit window.
I don't blame the crew for never having used this space before, not if there are just a handful of them in this big ship. The simplest bet might be an Observation Lounge of the TNG sort - a frivolous stargazing room Lorca had no use for, and Pike (and Picard!) only belatedly converted into his preferred briefing room against original designer intent. Lots of windows for purely aesthetic reasons, so the first-ever attempt to put the space into practical use involves closing down a few.
(Oh, and as regards that rant above about using the ship as a spore space doorstop, no, Tilly and May didn't walk on the spine of the secondary hull at any point - what I mistook for that was the spoke connecting the saucer rings, properly "underwater" all the time. But alas, the whole ship sinks a bit too much to keep the "water level" inside the Reaction Cube constant. Ships never work exactly as they’re supposed to. They very intentionally added a 3 window area to the ship exterior at the same time as building a 3 window interior room. I’d say it’s fairly evident this was their intent, regardless if it fits perfectly or not, which 90% of the discovery sets do not.
Probably just a miscommunication. The request came down to alter the model to match the set, and it turned into "get rid of two of the windows," and whoever did it thought every other window was supposed to stay, not the three in the middle.
Well it actually works better this way, with every other window being removed, as it matches the spacing on the interior set windows really well. I think King Daniel was referring to the actual shape of the attic "module" as being too rounded to match the interior.

I wonder if we ever get to see the deck directly above the main bridge - the one they were supposed to build as part of the bridge set originally, except now the bridge supposedly has a ceiling there and the upper deck would be its own thing.
Was this the first time we actually had the camera follow people from the shuttlebay to the corridor beyond? Or did "Vulcan Hello" feature this, too? It's a rare event in any case.
Also, the shuttlebay seems to be in utter chaos now, with piles of junk accumulating in the corners, and the heroes erecting those blinking beacons to keep the shuttles from bumping onto the piles. It wasn't that bad under Lorca. He did keep the shuttles running on schedule...
