Well I definitely know more about trek then I do about math. While I never got the books I did however get some models ships and getting every Star Trek show on DVD, which surprise my mother who is a Trekkie to but not nearly to the extent of me

And while i don’t think berman era trek is the greatest Although I see nothing wrong with sitting around a Boardroom deciding what the most thing is to do. Because it’s better than stunning when your captain your captain disagrees with you.
As a rare moment, sure. As a constant (or nearly so) occurrence? Not so much.
I never said to do it every episode but I wouldn’t say to only do it rarely.
I didn’t say it happens all the time but I don’t remember but picard getting stuned after disagreeing with the crew. ( I could be wrong because I haven’t absolutely every) I think discovery has a nice balance of it don’t you think I mean we do see them in the conference table sometimes. Just be clear at first I didn’t like discovery but now I’ve warmed up to it. I think what we have seen of the second season did it for me. It’s just that isn’t Star Trek supposed to represent being civil and not act impulsively and I believe sitting around the table it’s a little more civil then other methods we have seen throughout trek. I will admit it that Berman era trek has its problems (pajama like uniforms and storylines that seem the same) but I’m getting a tad tired of people seemingly always hating on it. I like the century where for starfleet and the federation, if you want to communicate with somebody you tap your com badge set of having to pull out a communicator and the fact that you most the time have personal replicators in your room so if you get up in the middle of the night you can get yourself a midnight snack instead of having to to go to the mess hall. And don’t forget holodecks. And the Klingons are your allies. well most of the time. then again my favorite part of 24th century trek is the last 4 seasons of DS9 and those seasons were not under the direction of Rick Berman I believe.
You know that’s actually a very good idea. I like matching the existing episodes and visual and writing styles. You’re right they probably won’t be able to pull that off. Although who knows maybe somebody will finally see the genius of that. It’s unlikely but nobody says we can’t dream. On the technology I don’t know it’s there yet either but who knows we maybe get lucky and we can find some people who look close enough.
