She could always be ex-Tal'Shiar or ex-Obsidian Order.

Lawrence can be a Cardassian. Indira can be an Andorian. Starton can be a new alien race in heavy prosthetics. Smith is a hologram, but I'm hoping his appearance isn't that of a human.

By the 25th century, Starfleet should be VERY alien.

Why not a Caitain among one of those. Haven't seen one of those in a while.

No Q, no Borg, no Klingons (outside of Worf cameo) PLEASE. All have been done to death. If this show really is focused on Romulan relations, then yes, please more Romulans. Introduce a new species if you want, but no retreads of anything that has already been done 100 times before.

Actually this could be a good premise. You know how Picard reacts, when something triggers his moral compass. He might be on a rogue mission in order to fix something which however is in direct violation of starfleet policy. Maybe he found a way to reverse the destruction of Romulus using some time travel gimmick..

Putting aside for the moment whether that qualifies as being "sexist" or not, Star Trek is hardly the only franchise guilty of that.

Of course not. There are many others which doesn't make it better at all. It is just disappointing that Star Trek which praises itself all the time for its representation of diversity, does obviously not care about an equal gender representation. TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, DIS and now the Picard series. None could bother to give 50 % of the main roles to women or for a change why not the majority of roles to women? After all the opposite seems not to be a problem at all. There was not even one Star Trek series so far, where female main characters made up 40 % of the cast. It is pathetic and yes sexist!

There's a historic - and yes, sexist - belief in TV that if you have more than 1/3rd of the cast women, it will be seen as a "women's show" and men will stop watching.

Star Trek's claims of diversity is weak, at best.
