I'm looking forward to seeing the Talosians, who are in this upcoming episode. Whereas the Klingons aren't. Unless you count Tyler. I consider him more Leland's Section 31 Stooge these days.

Although I somehow doubt he'd stay Leland's stooge if Michael told him what they'd planned for Spock. If push comes to shove, I see him choosing Michael, Pike and Discovery over his new bosses. Then again I could be very wrong and it could be a dramatic twist if he doesn't.

I like the look of the new Talosians, especially the pulsing vein effect. It seems that they are being helpful in the preview, so I wonder how we get to General Order 7.

In the part of the preview where it shows the Discovery in warp, there's a ship behind it. Whether it's pursuing it or following convoy style is not clear. My first thought, though, was that it was the USS Enterprise. Can anyone who's more familiar with Trek ships tell which one it is? My guess is that Spock and Michael run into some trouble with S31 tracking them down and Discovery and Enterprise are going to arrive as the proverbial 'cavalry'.

I agree, I think -- at the very least -- he'd side with Burnham. I think right now he's looking for a new identity, so he's thrown himself into Section 31 hook, line, and sinker. It's not Starfleet or the Empire, so to him it's a Third Way.

He won't be too happy if/when it founds out it was a mistake. "I thought I had it all figured out! And now here I am, Michael, right back to Square One!"

It's a Section-31 ship.
(of which we now know there are at least 3)
Whether it's the one with Leland & Georgieu remains to be seen.
(also whether it's chasing or just following is unknown at this time)

Yeah I can't wrap my head around that. Sending the probe into the future must have really screwed things up. Probes are going all Cylon.

That's the kind of adhering to the letter while ignoring the spirit of continuity which gave us the Ferengi and Borg episodes of ENT.

Yes, Star Trek continuity has been a mess since 2001. ENT similarly doesn't fit with TOS, but gives itself an out in the TCW. Disco may well be doing the same with it's Red Angel arc.
