It wasn't too long ago that LFIM was saying he saw no way DSC would get a 3rd season.

And when was the last time LFIM produced non-YT-related content? We should ever trust him.... why?

I just don't know why "haters" don't just ignore Discovery and move on. Well, because there's money to be made by making YouTube videos to pander to that hate. But I mean, why is there even a viable audience for these videos? After Matt Smith left, Doctor Who took a nosedive in quality. I stopped watching. You know how much time I've spent ranting and raving and watching hate videos over Doctor Who? None.

Don't like Discovery? Ok fine, you don't have to. But these people just need to shut up and let their hate go.

Like these people follow the Discovery/CBS All Access social media channels just so they can post angry face and post comments like "still not paying." So sad.

I WAS surprised they didn't mention Mount.
I guess the name brand of PECK, is probably why.

The only Australian newspaper articles I have seen about S2 involved Peck - first the announcement he’d been cast, then an interview with him.

The combination of the Peck and Spock brands is a lure, I suppose.

There's much more name recognition with "Spock" so they reference the character and actor playing him. Anson Mount isn't super well known and is playing a not well-known character.

The "logic" of some of these people escape me. Like the post I saw today claiming the new Picard show was not real trek and was lore-breaking.

I don't think she's ready yet, but clearly the end goal of the character arc is to get Burnham in the captain's chair.

is that clear? it hadn't really occurred to me that burnham would take over, but i feel like that kind of betrays the premise of the show revolving around a non-captain.

The very first Episode of Discovery, Georgiou is telling Burnham she's "ready for command." It's coming. Maybe not this season, maybe not next season, but it's coming.

I don't know? Two different types of shows. And I wonder what kind of draw The Twilight Zone will have considering it has lain dormant for a while.
