How I read this is, this Youtuber hates Discovery and though Axanar was the second coming. Another Youtuber (who was in LFIM's camp) said something she didn't agree with/didn't like (relating to Vic Mignogna and his sexual harassment troubles - a whole other mess), she turned against all fan films and against Axanar specifically (Why? I don't know - I haven't watched her vid, so I don't know how her beef with Axanar was triggered).
RMB is smart, not near as much as Christian Gossett, but still smart nonetheless. I hope for the sake of his career that he doesn't cave and give in to LFIM's insane demands
The fight was a twitter fight. What she's reacting to is the fact that all the abusive tweets aimed at her were marked with the Axanar Twitter logo. She took screenshots of the tweet battle and showed the threads in the video.
I grew up with four sisters so I'm too well trained with the whole toilet seat thing. I needs to get my woman rants elsewhere.
So Alec hates Vic so when the allegations against Vic came out on the sexual harrassment stuff he went to immediately attacking Vic about the whole situation. Claims it is because he is trying to help the women but it is more that he hates Vic.
Now, the youtuber mecha42 is part of midnight's edge and hates discovery and loves Axanar and wanted to see it succeed to have "real trek". Was really the perfect ally for AP and commended a large audience on her own and as part of ME.
Well, she is part of the #istandwithvic movement. One a recent youtube video of hers talking about Vic, Alec got into the live chat and started being a jerk and saying bad things about Vic and brought up the "I am a lawyer" card. I know at least one other person in his camp got in the chat too and they all wound up getting kicked and blocked.
So now she has turned totally anti-anaxar when she could have been a supporter and has done at least 1 other video now attacking Peters, etc.
Total Peters made the studio decision to put up his own video attacking all the #istandwithvic people but made it unlisted so it wouldn't show on the axanar page. Somebody sent a link to Mecha and very shortly after he took it down.

It’s a pretty brutal takedown. From what others have said I don’t really think I’ll be checking out her other videos but Alec is on top form in the messages to her, mansplaining away about what it’s like for women dealing with sexual assault and berating her for not agreeing with him.
For someone supposedly championing women in these situations it’s a massive own goal as it just reveals his motivations as sticking the boot into Vic more than anything else. Not that anyone who’s been following the Axanar saga with open eyes would’ve expected anything else.

I was thinking about it the other day... nerd culture has WON. The big box office movies are comic books, the most talked about shows are about fucking dragons and zombies... But, nope. Instead of enjoying, they have to tear it down.

Don't like a show, don't watch it. You can tell me why, sure, I'll listen. But, spend that much time telling everyone how bad something is... Why? Is there nothing better to do?

Ay yi yi I just watched/listened to the last 18 or whatever minutes of that. And she's right – right now it's accusations. And maybe they will hold up. Maybe they won't.
