New version of The Twilight Zone to be on CBS All Access

Yeah ya can. Ya really can.

Name one. Please. It lost me at episode two.

 

"Last Lap", "It's Still A Good Life", "The Placebo Effect", "Eye of the Beholder" and "Cold Fusion" tend to spring to mind.

 

I like the choice of Jordan Peele to host. But care more about seeing writer lineup.

 

Remakes don't count. "Eye of the Beholder" was already great the first time.

And I do remember seeing "It's still a good life." The ending was the little snot from "it's good life" is grown up and has a kid, and he recreates the world just so he and the kid can torture it. Awesome writing!

As I said elsewhere, If they want to bring Serling back from the dead to do the writing, I'm in. Otherwise, hard pass.

 

Jordan Peele's face is on the cover of the Rolling Stone. He's gonna buy five copies for his mother.

 

Now that song is stuck in my head. Not necessarily a bad thing, I guess...

Looks pretty good. I did notice the box with the devil's head on it. That seems like an easter egg to the classic show.

 

Looks a lot more interesting than the Super Bowl trailer was.

I spotted at least two homages to Richard Matheson episodes: the gremlin from "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" washing up on a beach, and, yes, the devil-headed fortune-telling device from "Nick of Time."

 

So They're remaking both of Shatner's episodes?

 

Who knows? These could just be Easter eggs.

 

It looks interesting, I just wish it was in black and white.

Adam Scott plays the Shatner role. He is seen in a few scenes in the trailer.

 

You seem him a lot in the trailer, looks like it goes off in a very different direction than the original. He's off the plane for most of it, but keeping the paranoia and seemingly losing the monster. Although a doll of it shows up.

 

Pretty good. Lots of nice imagery in there, and it's got that classic Americana vibe that the original did. I remain cautiously optimistic.

 

Looks good. I'll be able to catch a few episodes before Discovery season 2 ends and I cancel my subscription. I'll catch the rest of it when the Picard show premieres.
